Jennifer Wallis, Chief Impact Officer at Citizens Bank of Edmond, is a driving force for positive change. With her passion for financial literacy, Jennifer serves on the executive board of the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education and co-founded Invest in Girls - Oklahoma, empowering young women to take charge of their financial futures.

Her tenacity, outgoing spirit, and dedication make her an invaluable asset to our team. We are beyond excited to have Jennifer bringing her incredible energy and expertise to make this year’s Miracle on 2nd Street the best yet!

Edmond's first year of Miracle on 2nd Street was a huge success! We lit up 13.4 miles on Route 66 and greeted visitors with festive holiday events. Stay tuned for more as we continue to promote 100 Miles of Christmas with our fellow cities.

This blueberry milkshake IPA gets it's name from the famous Blue Hippo on Broadway. The long and storied history of the Blue Hippo is foggy and has become stuff of legend. For many years the Blue Hippo was stolen by local miscreants, mainly high schoolers, and ended up in some interesting places. It's made appearances on the roof of the Edmond Memorial High School gym, in ponds and it even, allegedly, attended field parties. It is also an official Route 66 Roadside Attraction. We hope this beer becomes the stuff of legend as well. Oh yeah, if it comes up missing anytime soon we had nothing to do with it.

Speaking of Route 66 ... The 3rd annual Cycle 66 is in 10 days! Welcome riders from across the nation at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5. Cycle 66 is for everyone - all ages can cycle and enjoy the FREE festivities. Celebration 66, the finish line festival, has a bounce house, shopping and local dining for all. Register to ride 10, 33 or 66 miles for $45 at www.cycle66ok.com. Youth 12 and under can ride the 10-mile route for $10. The 1-mile kids’ route is free, but registration is required.

Cycle 66 is a bicycling tour along historic Route 66. Beginning and ending in downtown Edmond, Cycle 66 offers three distinct routes for all experience levels.

Edmond is joining cities along Route 66 to celebrate our holiday spirit in the first annual 100 Miles of Christmas from Sapulpa to El Reno. Every city has a theme and Edmond’s is "Miracle on 2nd Street"! This theme captures our old fashioned traditions and Santa Claus events. We are thrilled to invite citizens and visitors to experience the magic of the season while indulging in a plethora of festive activities.
Date: Tuesday, Nov 14 – Friday, Dec 29
Location: 2nd Street, from Post Road to Broadway in Edmond
During 7 weeks of Christmas, we will be showcasing an array of holiday activities that will captivate hearts young and old.
Highlights:
• Meet and greet with the jolliest of all guests, Santa Claus himself at Edmond events
• Immerse yourself in the holiday cheer with delightful decorations and twinkling lights along the historic 2nd Street.
