1️⃣ ‼️SCHEDULE UPDATE: ‼️ Please notice, we have canceled our theme night on Friday, Feb 14th due to scheduling and holiday plans.
2️⃣ Wed 2/12 - GAME MASTER CLASS at Coral Sword, 6:00pm - Join Vetted GM, Lindsay, for a class and Round Robin discussing player engagement relating to the Four Pillars. This GMC is free and is a step towards completing a Vetted GM status. We recommend bring a level 3 character, a sheet of notes, and reviewing the Four Pillars prior to the class.

With the recent statements made by federal figures regarding changes to the definitions of s*x and gender, BarHaven would like to reaffirm the undeniable truth that trans and nonbinary individuals are real, valid, and valued members of our community. BarHaven was built to be a welcoming and inclusive space, and we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, discrimination, or any actions that compromise basic respect and decency at our game tables. Our diversity and inclusivity statements have always been outlined in our player policy, available on our website. If an individual is found to bully or deter inclusivity based on someone’s identity, they will be removed from our community. Everyone deserves to feel safe and valued in our spaces.

To further emphasize our commitment to inclusivity, we will be adding an "About the Community" page to our website. This page will include a direct statement about our inclusivity efforts and support for LGBTQ+ groups, ensuring that our values are clear and accessible to all.

As a reminder, we are DARK today (Tuesday), meaning no games at Rudyards Grill.
At the moment, we are still on for Coral Sword tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 6:00pm but will update everyone depending on the weather.

Please remember to stay warm, do not drive on slush or ice, and check on your friends/family. It is supposed to get very cold tonight after some of the snow melts, so Black Ice will be more likely. Please stay safe everyone!

Hello Nerds! Quick updates for our following meet-ups:

1️⃣ 🎨Today (Saturday) at 12:00pm at BETELGEUSE on WASHINGTON - Come hang out and get involved in the community to meet new friends. This is a FREE, Bring You Own Paint, gathering at the Betelguese 2101 WASHINGTON AVE location. Please check your address prior to coming! This venue has a full bar and full kitchen, specializing in great pizza! Bring your own paint, brushes, and minis! Some participants may share, but please be respectful of others resources.

2️⃣ ‼️WE ARE DARK on MONDAY the 20th and TUESDAY the 21st due to weather. While its not a 100% chance of snow or ice, we want everyone to be safe and warm. Please remember to avoid driving on icy roads, check up on your friends and neighbors to make sure everyone has heating, and drip your facets to prevent pipe bursts. I will repost this announcement across socials and again on Sunday.

🎆Hope everyone is having a great last day of 2024! To kick off the new year, we have a great first gaming meet-up this coming Friday, January 3rd, 6:00pm at Velvet Oak Tavern! Bring a level 3, 5e, D&D character and test your new years gaming resolutions with a $10 beginner friendly game!

Cant make it to any of our regular meet-ups? Check out some of over upcoming events in January:
1️⃣ 🍺 1/10 GAME MASTER CLASS - 6:00pm Online Discord - Our first of the year GMC will be online in the server's Classroom audio channel. Join BarHaven in discussion the Four Pillars of Game Hosting and start your journey on becoming a Game Master for BarHaven! The first hour will be a discussion on a TBD topic, and the last 1-2 hours will be a Round Robin game, where the GM changes person every 30 ish minutes. Suggested paper and pencil or note taking program.
2️⃣ 1/12 ROB RAYS TAPROOM - 12:00pm-4:00pm - $15 level 5, 5e D&D games at Robs! This is a "Winter Wonderland" themed game night so be prepared for a snowy (or abominable) adventure with lots of drinks, a great food truck, and plenty of winter chaos!
3️⃣ 1/13 GAME MASTER CLASS - 6:00pm Velvet Oaks - Our in person GMC option for January!
4️⃣ 1/18 MINI PAINT PARTY - 12:00pm Betelguese Washington Ave - Join the BarHaven community for a paint party! Bring you paints, minis, and brushes and get together for a FREE to attend community event. A chance to swap paint ideas, tips, and art passions! Please note, the address is at the Washington location, not Montrose. Please be respectful of the venue. BarHaven will be providing table covers to protect the venues furniture.
5️⃣ 1/22 TPK NIGHT - 6:00pm Coral Sword - Want a challenge? This $15, level 5, one magical item, Total Party Unalive night is a chance to test your teamwork and challenge your character build. The GM hosting will actively try to TPK your party so bring it on! More details to come!

In addition to our FB event (pinned on our page), we also made an EventBrite with a donation link!
