Today is the Parade! It's practically here!!!

Come one come all and join in the festivities 1-3 meet and Greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus. 3-5 FREE Public Skating 7pm Parade starts!!

Don't FORGET Rhett's donuts will be stationed at 38 Main Street with delicious mini donuts
Coffee & Scoops at 32 Main Street are providing Hot Chocolate
Last but NOT least
FIT Clinic at 21 Main Street will be handing out Reindeer Candy canes!!!

The FIT clinic at 21 Main Street will be handing out REINDEER Candy Canes!!! So grab a delicious candy cane to enjoy the Parade!!!

Guess who's back..... Back again....
Coffee & Scoops located at 32 Main Street will be providing Hot chocolate. So you can watch the parade enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate. Donations will be accepted.

Rhetts Donuts will be set up for the Santa Claus Parade at 38 Main Street... So while watching the parade you can enjoy DELICIOUS, WARM, FRESH BAKED donuts.

Have some teenagers needing community hours? Have some artistic flare and you want to do some good for the community? Well we have the answer. We are collecting holiday cards for seniors again this year! We have blank cards and pre-made cards to fill out at the library, so come and grab them. Complete them and bring them back for us to sign off on your hours, it’s so easy!

Rural yard waste collection has been EXTENDED. Residents in rural areas can book one more collection for the week of December 4th. Please call GFL at 1.888.941.3345 ext. 1 one week in advance to ensure collection.

Place all yard waste bags or bins out on Monday morning by 7AM the week of December 4th. Collections will continue throughout the week.

We are just 3 THREE days away from the 83rd Annual Santa Clause Parade!!!
Here is the route the Parade will be taking starting at 7pm Saturday November 25 2023.
Meet and greet with Santa 1-3
FREE public Skating 3-5
Parade starts at 7
Cannot wait to see you all

We are still SEEKING 8-10 ENTHUSIASTIC individuals who would like to walk the Parade route and hype up the crowd!!! I'd that seems like something of interest please reach out!!!

So mark your calendars, Saturday December 9th from 1:00-3:00pm. $5.00 will get your family everything you need to create an awesome edible treat 🍭 This event is for all ages and is in person only. How excited are you??
We are currently seeking 10-12 enthusiastic individuals who would like to walk the parade route. We have had some wonderful outfits made. These outfits are a Men's Large so ample room to put layers underneath to stay warm!!!
Community service hours will be signed if needed!!!

Tonight the Grand Valley Santa Claus Parade had their very first meeting of 2023.
If you are interested in helping plan and execute this year's Santa Claus parade send us a message and come to our next meeting!!

We wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who attended, entered a float, and to the volunteers who made the 82nd Annual Santa Claus Parade a SMASHING SUCCESS!!

A few statistics from this year’s event;

100 gift bags for the children visiting Mr. & Mrs. Claus were handed out thanks to Grand Valley Dental
Approx. 150 attended the skating party
Mayor Steve Soloman made three draws for $20 gift certificate each to Pizzabilities and the winners were very pleased!
The arena handed out 99 cups of free hot chocolate
There were 31 parade participants in total
The winner of the random draw prize of $150 in gift certificates was Brittany Tovey, with her pony Fancy; she was so excited!

We will see you all in 360 more days for the 83rd Annual Santa Claus Parade. Until then we are wanting to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday Season.

The FINAL Countdown is on T- 5 days until the 82nd Grand Valley Santa Clause Parade!!
If you are interested in putting in a float there is still time. Registration Deadline Friday Nov 25th.

There has been a slight change to the route due to the Ongoing Construction on Emma Street.

We are so excited to see you Saturday Nov 26. Don't forget our meet and greet with Mr. & Mrs. Claus from 2pm-4pm
Public Skating from 3pm- 5pm
Parade starts at 7pm.

The count down is on! Less than 2 weeks until the 82nd Annual Santa Claus Parade.
Remember the festivities start at 2pm with a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus (2pm-4pm) at the Community Centre. FREE Public Skating is from 3pm to 5pm.
The Parade starts at 7pm.
