Leah and Nick wanted some iconic Colorado scenery for their engagement photos. I think Loveland Pass did the job.
There was a bit more snow than we would have liked, but that's Colorado for you. We froze our butts off, but it was worth it.

Think of your engagement session as practice for your wedding day. This is where we get to know each other, you get all the awkward jitters related to having your photo taken out of the way, and we create some fun, bold, unique photos to show off your love.
I'm not a fan of showing up as a stranger on your wedding day, so engagement sessions, in my mind, are a crucial part of your wedding journey. Trust me, everything runs a lot smoother if A) You meet your photographer before the big day, and B) You get along great with your photographer and they make you feel comfortable in front of the lens.
I pride myself in the countless couples I've been able to work with and help them overcome any limiting beliefs they have when it comes to how awesome they can look in a photograph.

Cameron here, just thought I'd bless the internet with a picture of my mug for a second while I introduce myself to engaged couples out there.

Is there such a thing as a perfect wedding day?
I don't believe there is, but some weddings just hit different.
Reflecting back on this wedding, Arika & Matt were unapologetically themselves when planning their wedding.
From the Converse that Arika wore all day ... to the wedding ring inside a Pokeball ... to the sunset photos showcasing Matt's car collection, this was such a unique wedding.
When couples choose to break the mold and infuse their personalities into their wedding, they need a photographer they can trust. It's my job to showcase your personality through your images.

Unpopular opinion incoming: You don't have to follow the social norms. You don't have to present a jam-packed wedding timeline with no room to relax with each other. It's okay to adjust things to keep your own sanity. I've seen way too many weddings where the couple was only doing things to please their family or because social media told them, "This is the way." Screw that. You aren't like every other couple, so your day doesn't have to be like theirs. When things are rushed, it's easier for things to fall apart or be missed. Intentionally create breathing room within your timeline.
