I was in Singapore last month for Bacha Coffee & TWG Tea training.

Started a week-long with Bacha Coffee first, our Corporate Sales Training, getting into history, explored the brand, coffee tasting, discovered various coffee types and learned about our global locations.

Did you know our very first Bacha Coffee is in Mocorro; Marrakech, 11 locations in Singapore alone followed by 2 in Kuala Lumpur, and others in Paris, Hong Kong, Dubai, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Taiwan and more opening this year.

We named our training room as "Coffee Institute," our dine-in area as "Coffee Room," and our retail spaces as "Boutique". Can you guess which area we named the "Coffee Library"?

Our coffee journey of learning and experience has just begun. Bacha Coffee features over 200 sources coffees from 35 Coffee producing countries. Can't wait to discover it all.

A big thank you for all the patience and guidance provided over the past few days.

Another chapter has opened, still in F&B but with a different style.

The first month is about adapting to the culture, work style, the system, and, most importantly, the people.

I have been in training in the store, warehouse, and office, meeting many people, engaging in conversations, and trying to find the correct way to adapt to new things.

Well, that's life, isn't it? Survived and happily adapting 😎

It's time to bid farewell to an amazing chapter at Nobu Kuala Lumpur Restaurant , leaving with a mix of emotions. Grateful for the collaborative efforts of an exceptional team that worked tirelessly to build strong brands together.

Over the years, we've organized charity events, hosted influencers, media gatherings, launched festivals and theme events, welcomed our HQ Corporate Team, and recently we organized a local fish market trip with our headquarters team. The journey in the F&B realm has allowed me to connect with different individuals, and the shared experiences have been enriching.

None of this would have been possible without my incredible teammates, with whom I've shared long hours of working 14-16 hours straight on some days. I am genuinely thankful for each moment.

Having had the opportunity to cover various aspects of Business Development for an international restaurant has been an invaluable exposure.

Recently, I came across a post discussing the naming the positions and venues in a certain hotel brand, with some individuals deeming it irrelevant.

I came from both local and international hotel brands, as well as my current role in an international brand restaurant, I've learned the importance of having new practices, new learning, adaptation and continuous development in the hospitality industry.

Working in a restaurant, I've encountered unique challenges due to limited resources, unlike hotels with huge banquet teams capable of accommodating large volumes of guests. Hotel can handle events with 500 to 1000+ of people, and restaurant events often cater to more intimate gatherings, especially those hosted by prestigious and luxury companies. These requirements for these events, attended by high-profile individuals, demand a high level of attention to detail in every aspect, from type of food and beverages to table setup and service.

Returning to the earlier point about the different approaches by certain parties, just because people are doing different does not mean they are irrelevant. Adaptation and improvement are essential for staying current with global trends while preserving the core values of service and hospitality.

There are some positive changes in the Malaysian F&B and hotel scene, however there's still a huge gap compared to like Hong Kong, Singapore, and others.

Let’s work together to improve this industry. Do not give up!

Starting our day with prepping for Media Sushi Class with Chef Nobu. Then, a fascinating Q&A session with Sake Master Hazu san on the tale behind Hokusetsu sake.

Before our dinner service kicked off, we gathered with Chef Nobu and the Corporate Chefs'. They come up with some delectable local-inspired dishes, infused with that Nobu style.

It's been a year since our co-founder, Nobu-san, paid a visit to Kuala Lumpur. We were honoured to host him, even for just a brief one-day trip, to showcase our space and meet our enthusiastic team.

This year, he is returning on 19th & 20th Sept 2023, this time accompanied by our Corporate Team, for a two-day visit. During this special occasion, we'll be offering limited-time Omasake and Osusume experiences. Looking forward to it!
