To snap or not to snap during the wedding ceremony, that is the question! 🤔

Some couples love the idea of an unplugged ceremony, asking guests to be fully present and phone-free for those precious 10-15 minutes, while others embrace the modern twist of a reverse unplugged ceremony, where photos are encouraged at the end.

This modern twist seems to be the happy medium for most people. The photographer doesn’t have to worry about Auntie getting in their perfectly framed shot, the couple knows their guests are truly in the moment, and loved ones get to snap a quick pic before you walk back down the aisle.

What’s your preference, though? Do you think guests should put their phones away or be able to capture any moment they want?

This special time, first formally recognized in 2006, encourages us to celebrate and enrich our families through education, health, and self-improvement.

It's about supporting our loved ones, reflecting together, and inspiring the next generation.

For my family, Disney holds a special place in our hearts. The magic, the joy, the togetherness—it’s where we've created some of our fondest memories. And in honor of this month, we’re looking back on these special moments together and looking forward to making more soon.

Today I got to marry a beautiful couple and they jumped the broom to unify their union at the end of the ceremony! This is a traditional way to end a wedding in some Black communities.

The practice is documented as a marriage ceremony for enslaved people in the Southern United States during the 1840s and 1850s, who were often not permitted to marry legally.

Our couple today decided to carry on this beautiful tradition! The bride even decorated the broom herself! Thank you for trusting me with your ceremony and having me be a part of this moment, it meant a lot to me as well! 💜💍🖤

On June 19, 1865, the final enslaved Black Americans learned of their freedom in Galveston, Texas, marking the true liberation of Black Americans and giving birth to Juneteenth.

This day serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of freedom, equality, and unity. Our Black American ancestors paved the way for future generations to have successful careers and pursue what we are passionate about.

As for my family and I, we will continue to honor our past and build a brighter future. From the caterers passed down to the baker, photographer, and wedding planner. WE stand strong, as ONE!✊🏾
