It’s a potent time to gather. Perhaps, even essential.

Are you needing a retreat, now, to be with, pray with, move with, dance with, grieve with, and learn with like-minded Jewish folks?

In two weeks, I will be leading prayers and song circles and supporting elder teacher Reb Simona Aronow, who is an authentic movement dance therapist and lifelong kabbalistic student and guide, in a weeklong retreat with delicious food and gorgeous accommodations in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia.

We would love to be with and support you, in this time when gathering and grieving and allowing the movement of energy is so necessary.

Asheville friends (and friends who want an excuse to visit AVL!), join us next weekend in the portal of ancestral and personal healing, Yom Kippur.

Known as the holiest day of Jewish tradition, we gather to intimately approach G-d(dx), the creative force of the Universe, with our deepest prayers and petitions and vulnerability.

It’s an honor to co-create this service with the Appalachian Niggun Circle and to be hosted on a beautiful beloved mountain homestead in Barnardsville. Please join us, if you are curious and able. We are in for a soulful, song-full, and meaningful time in prayer and proximity to the Holy together.

They say the best way to learn is to teach!

In my Jewish mindfulness training with , I learned an amazing meditation originally taught by the Bal Shem Tov to his followers, to help them maintain a healthy and balanced spiritual life. He says, to go up, you must first come down!

This weekend at congregation in upstate NY, I will teach it as a way to “come down the holy mountain” of Shavuot, but to remain in connection with Source.

Some people say that my friend .wellness has a voice like chocolate, and some people say I have a voice like honey. And when you put those two together what do you get ???? Something quite magical and delicious!

That’s why, next week in Brooklyn NY, Miriam and I will join our sweet and deep forces to serve up a song and cacao circle to our people! 🍯🍫🌹

Join us as we prepare our hearts for Shavuot, the big holiday of revelation and receiving and believing we are worthy of LOVE.

We will meet on Wednesday evening, May 24th, at the very pinnacle of the Omer - Malchut Shebe Malchut - when the greatest embodied imminence and integration of the last 49 days is possible.

Hi to my friends in Asheville, North Carolina or folks curious about it!

This message is for anyone looking for an earth-based Jewish song and prayer community, rooted in collective liberation. The seeds are being sown and bulbs are planted for it to pop this year!🌷🧄🌷

This weekend, while I’m in town, we will gather for a special Shabbat morning praise and potluck. Joyous songs will be sung, as we pray for personal and collective healing, and dream awake the Torah for our community and this time.

Today is Hoshana Raba, the last day of Sukkot and the day we dance circles around on the earth, shaking our lulavs, beating the ground with willow, and praying with and on behalf of all our water-loving allies and friends.

Today is the day our fate from this holiday season is finalized, and in it, we send up big prayers for the perfect amount of rain for this coming year and we pray for climate health and balance. As we pray for rain, we also have the opportunity to draw down infinite blessings from Above into every area of our lives.

I’m happy to announce that I’ve uploaded my song HOLY WATER that I caught by the banks of the mighty Hudson River a few years ago. It's my praise and prayer for the fresh clean waters we need more than anything.

This summer I had the chance to record it with my friends .wellness and in a new music project we call THE MOTHER LETTERS.

We begin just days after our tradition encourages us to dance with our broken-openness with the Divine Shekhina in the fields, on the Full Moon of Av. And for 7 weeks that follow, we fold in lessons from the year behind us, while flowering and fruiting forward towards the redemption of a new year to come. 🍯🍎

We have so much to learn when we leap towards the mystery. Let’s dance.
