Okay Facebook, let’s see how wonderful this community truly is. Friends of mine live down south and have been actively making trips to Avery County. Hurricane Helene and the storms prior to it brought unimaginable destruction to Western NC.. Many people in the community face complete devastation. People are without power, food and water. Many lost their homes and businesses completely. My friend Walter Penninger is taking supplies (gas, food, water, clothes) to Avery County. So far he has taken 2 trips and has even stayed to help clear some roads

If you are able to donate, we greatly appreciate it. If you want to donate clothes or supplies I am happy to supply an address to ship to!

Thank you in advance. Walter’s wife Lindsay Penninger has set up a go fund me page but with the fees and such, Venmo is preferred. If you want to donate and do not have Venmo, I am happy to meet up with you!
