The results of our survey have given us invaluable insights into what matters most to you. One key area stood out: service and training.

We’re committed to delivering the exceptional five-star experience you expect from The Marcliffe, and that’s why we’ve decided to take an important step forward.

To invest in our team and their development, we’ll be temporarily closed from 5th–16th January for comprehensive training across all departments.

Why are we doing this?
To act quickly on your feedback and create lasting improvements that benefit both our staff and our guests.

We hope this short closure will cause minimal inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed Marcliffe experience starting 17th January.

Please note all guests and event bookings will be managed during this time and have already been contacted.

Dobby has come home for some ✨

Not your average elf sighting at The Marcliffe this festive season! Santa delivered an early present and returned Dobby after a little spell away. He’s now safely tucked into his glass case home, where he’ll bring a bit of wizarding wonder to all who visit.

Did you know?
Dobby was gifted to the Marcliffe by none other than J.K. Rowling herself! After staying here for several months, she was so enchanted by the staff’s hospitality that she sent Dobby to live with us as a token of her appreciation.

Dobby is ready to welcome all witches and wizards in reception✨

There’s nothing like an icon that moves with the times.

This Christmas, thanks to John Clark MINI, the legendary Mini Cooper takes centre stage here at The Marcliffe. Just like the Mini, our hotel is redefining timeless classics with a modern twist.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Charlotte Garvie and the Adesso Decor team, our executive chef Rabin and the pastry team for creating and sparkle around the hotel. ✨

We welcomed over 400 guests for the Inverurie Locos Business Lunch today. It was great to see such a fantastic turnout, and a pleasure working alongside the Locos team to deliver a successful event, bringing together the business community in support of a local football team. We hope all who attended enjoyed the day.
