Warning Long Post!!!
Wow!!! What an amaxing year we had at Kink Weekend 2023 I have so recognitions to give but the most important is to the community as a whole. This year I met so many people who had never been to Kink Weekend OKC and shared their amazing stories and memories that my leather pup heart is overflowing with gratitude to the attendees that make producing this event worth it. Through the ups and downs and issues you believe in us and keeping coming back and bringing your friends. For 13 years we have strived to better our community and the stories that I have heard prove we have done just that but not without the support of the community. So I thank you for believing in us and supporting us every year.
We always need a space to do this in and if you attended last year you know the stories so IYKYK... but this year The District Hotel and its staff and general manager Lauren Wright you did awesome considering the problem we ran into with not having enough rooms. We rolled with it and your staff was professional and accommodating even when you were not treated with the same. We thank you for taking such good care of us. To Steven Blundell thank you for buying the hotel and giving us safe place to express ourselves and be ourselves. Thank you for having a vision for the future of the hotel. We can not wait for next year and working with you both again. This year was truly the smoothest it has been in years.Larry and Randel thank you for getting the spaces we needed ready for us. Your hard work took alot of pressure of my team. The bartenders, house keepers, bar backs, door staff and security thank you for your diligence and attentiveness to our needs and security.
To the 2022 Route 66 titleholders Mark, Harley, Lee Varq, Alice congratulations on a successful year and leaving a legacy that the new class can build on. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with you this past year. Rhis new class hass their work cut out for them. Aiden after 5 years you are finally stepped down we thank you for dedication the the Route 66 Bootblack title. Congratulations enjoy Shady Pines.
To the 2023 Route 66 titleholders: Mr. ROUTE 66 Leather Michael Hughes, Route 66 Pup Brewer Canis, Route 66 Bear Kevin Parker, Ms. Route 66 Leather Wonder Roth Congratulations on your earning the title now its time for the hard stuff. Can't wait to see what your year will bring.
To the 2022 contestant class Atlas Koutavi, MasterMadame Navia, Maria A. Trevino, Brian Butler, Exzo Milcham Onyx, Tony The Grey. Y'all did amazing you showed up and showed out. The judges didn't have an easy job this year. Welcome to the Kink Weekend OKC/Route 66 family. You will always have a place here.
To the judges George Dane, Brandon Dontstop, Tyler Thulin, Xaioyi Drake, Mak MacDonald, Angela Lether, Angel Marie, Duke, Pup Sirius, Patrick Ulysses thank you for your time and choosing who earned the titles this year. Your job was not easy. Kris Leathergirl and Casdyn Clarke thank you for taking care of the judges and everything you did for us over the weekend you both did awesome. To Gail OrMaybe Nina and Karen Barber thank you for handling the numbers and being diligent with the scores to ensure accuracy and transparency.
To the bootblacks that worked the stand THANK YOU!!! Your time and skill is so very much appreciated and we wouldn't look as good as we do in our leathers if it wasn't for you (Koda, Geoffrey Millard Hunter, Aiden I believe I am forgetting someone. I apologize its not intentional)
To the volunteers you did soooo much over the weekend I can not even express the gratitude and appreciation I have for helping us have a successful event.
Pup Purple I don't even know how to express or show my appreciation and gratitude to you my friend. Thank you for everything you stepped-up when we needed you and got the thing done.
To my board Miss Sara, Meg AmazonKitten Morgan, Honeybea Gray, Jeff, Cody Hittson, Rere Ferdon Zach Goyer thank you for sticking by me and believing in me, my vision and leadership and making this event happen I could not do any of this without each of you doing what you do.
To Alibi's and Tiffany and her staff as always you were amazing and took such great care of us.

A very special personal thank you to Kiba Akela Vic Wend Samuel Blevins Sharon Hayes thank you for keeping track of me. I know I am hard to keep up with and I lose things and set them down and forget where I put them but y'all managed to keep me together and I didn't lose anything this year. Thank you so much for all you did for me during the event and for the caffine, ni****ne and babysitting the bible.
To Rugger Canis thank you for giving our keynote address. It was a pleasure to finally meet you in person. You are such a genuine and amazing person.
Austin Abernathy thank you for all the spaces that you helped with throughout the weekend and ensuring that safe space were being provided.
This past weekend I attended Show Me Leather 2023 the first offical feeder to Route 66 and what an amazing time it was. Asher Wilde and Michael you guys did great and handled the event like professionals. With only 6 months to plan and pull together you did great. Will see you in September.
To the 2022 Show Me leather clas Nila and Pupper Bluu job well done. To Cookie congratulations on finally stepping down. You are kind, you are a beautiful human, and I am honored to call you friend.
To the 2023 Show Me Leather class: Show Me Leather Little 2023 Celina Rose, Ms Show Me Leather 2023 Bea Uty, Show Me Leather Pet ThePup Momo congratulations you guys did great. I look forward to seeing y'all in September and having you learn from your Route 66 family and lets grow the Show Me Leather brand in Missouri.
To Caboose and Neon you guys did great too I look forward to sharing space with you both.
I am sure I am missing someone and believe me its not intentional please know that I appreciate you and thank you for your belief in me, my team, and this event.
