LAKES JR EAGLES GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS

Participation agreements will be handed out at the local schools and will also be available at tryouts. It must be filled out before a player is allowed to tryout.

When: Wednesday, October 16th and Monday, October 21st

Time: 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade - 6:00pm - 7:30pm

7th and 8th Grade - 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Where: Millburn Elementary – West Gym
(Gym entrance is at the rear of the building)

Players only need to attend 1 evening of tryouts but are strongly encouraged to attend both for more exposure.

*Tryouts are limited to athletes and coaches only*

Practices will begin October 28th for those who make the teams and a parents meeting will be held on October 23rd.

Practices will be on Mondays / Wedesdays and the season will consist of approximately 25 games.

Season Fee is $600 and is due on November 18th.
(Includes uniforms)

Players are strongly encouraged to attend both tryouts but only 1 is required.

The 5/6 grade team ended the season on a high note with a win and 3rd place finish at the Grayslake Hoopsfest. Awesome job ladies!

Huge finish for the 8th grade team as they closed out the season with the program’s first ever undefeated championship win at the Grayslake Hoopsfest and over 50 wins throughout their time in the program. What an incredible group of athletes and kids - Enjoy your win ladies - it was a hard fight and very well deserved. 🦅 🏀

5th/6th took first in the Richmond Cupid Classic today - Amaziing job ladies!! 8th grade enjoyed a weekend off - only a couple tournaments left to go 🏀 🦅

Wrapped up the weekend playing the Grayslake Teams. 5/6 played a high paced game against Central and worked hard to bring what they practice each week to the court. 7/8 swept Central and North, earning wins in two very physical games against both teams - including one final overtime win to end the day!

Halfway through the season and everyone continues to improve - Keep pushing Eagles! 🏀 🦅

Excellent afternoon today spent with the Lakes Varsity Girls Basketball team. All of the Jr Eagles got to meet the coaching staff and players, showed off their skills on the court and cheered on the Varsity Team in their win. The 7/8th grade team even got to join varsity for their pregame prep. Big thanks to Coach Murray and the rest of the Lakes Eagles coaches for truly integrating the Jr Eagles into the high school program 🦅 🏀
