Last year, we marked a historic moment as Barb Matheny, Founder and President of the Hancock County Parkinson’s Network, cut the ribbon to symbolize not only the first official year of our nonprofit, but also the beginning of our very first Empower Walk. It was a powerful and emotional event, filled with community support and determination.

As Barb took that first step, it was a symbol of our commitment to the mission of empowering individuals affected by Parkinson’s disease. The walk was more than just an event—it was the start of something big, as we came together to raise awareness, provide support, and take meaningful action for those impacted by Parkinson’s. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited for what’s to come as we continue our journey.
