Amaryllis bulbs! The one on the left is from a big box store. The one on the right from a premium supplier ! Asters… first time ever growing them. I started about 200 seeds and ended up with 8 plants 😩 talk about a disappointment! But alas!! I finally have a few flowers to show for all that frustration! If anyone has any tips they would be greatly appreciated!!! I’ll keep trying…But plugs may be in my future!

Happy Mother’s Day!! It’s been a long week leading up to this…and not the one I had planned for if I am being honest. I had hopes for having it all together and having Mother’s Day bouquets available. Alas the world had different plans.. strep is no joke and took me out for most of the week. When I did start to feel better I was playing catch up or it was raining! Non the less I found time to make myself this beautiful bouquet! And we have our first sunflowers!!! Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there how are just making it day to day!!

Enjoyed this beauty all weekend! We are anxiously waiting for the blooms to be in full swing! Snaps are on the verge, bachelor buttons have been coming in heavy and yarrow, statice, and sweet william are knocking on the door! The garden loves the sun we had this weekend! We’re hopeful to have Mother’s Day bouquets available for purchase - stay tuned!!

My evening ends every night with these baby plants. Each night after I put my kids to bed I trek down to the basement to water and check on them. I find watering at night fits my schedule… mornings are to chaotic 🤪 but in the evenings I can devote the attention needed. And after the craziness of the bedtime routine the grow room is calm and therapeutic - it grounds me. What do you think? Are you a morning or night waterer?
