ATTENTION PET OWNERS ⚠️💥❇✨Carols by the Lake 2023 will feature a fireworks display at approximately 7:55pm this Saturday 9th December at Lake Orr, Varsity Lakes. Please ensure your pets are safe and secure.

If you have an anxious pet, here are some tips from the RSPCA QLD on keeping pets safe during fireworks.

🏠 Keep your dog or cat indoors if possible.
🧑‍ Direct supervision is important.
🪟 Close the blinds & curtains to decrease visual stimuli.
🍖 Distract with games or food.
🆔 Make sure your pet has an ID tag, & is chipped with contact details up-to-date.

And of course featuring local groups 🏫, community fundraisers 🙏, PLUS SANTA 🎅, this FREE event 🆓 will celebrate Christmas 🎄 and all things Division 11!

While the rain may have cut short some of Christmas Celebrations at Carols by the Lake on Saturday, it didnt dampen the enthusiasm and community spirit of the crowds in attendance!

Please remember if driving to and attending a Christmas event this year, patrons continue to park according to the City regs and areas permitted around the event site. This is for the safety of all attending the celebration, and no one wants to go on the naughty list this early in December…

We strongly encourage public transport or ‘active travel’ where possible.

Looking forward to a number of great acts tomorrow...

The incredibly talented Hannah Rigby will be on STAGE LIVE this Saturday performing a number of festive hits and great covers alongside Stevie Mac at the Carols by the Lake 2021.

Hannah has toured Australia and New Zealand with musicals; Wizard Of Oz, Sound Of Music & Saturday Night Fever and has toured children’s live theatre shows in both Countries as well as USA & Singapore with Nickelodeon, Disney and ABC.

Hannah recently returned home during Covid-19 after touring with a Brazilian circus for 2 years. Since then she has played the role of Whitney Houston in The BodyGuard Musical and is an Artist for NRL and FOX.

Hannah founded and co-owns Studio Empire with her Partner Brad and their band will be headlining at the world RnB Festival in Fiji in 2022.

Great to have Hannah perform at Varsity Lakes this year...🎄
