Trained by Windy City Pro Wrestling’s Sam Decero, Hunter Paine, Austin Roberts, & Steve Boz in 2003 C. Red would quickly become one of the most colorful characters in ALL of the Chicago Wrestling Scene. Leading almost everyone he has ever managed to championship gold. C. Red made his Illinois Valley Debut in 2006 in Wicked Wrestling Alliance and quickly formed The Urban Freebirds with Willie “Da Bomb” Richardson, Trauma, & Tristin Hayze. He would lead the team of Richardson & Trauma to Tag Team Gold, while leading Hazye to the WWA Heavyweight Championship. Red would have much success throughout IL, the Midwest, and even other areas of the country. Red returned to the area in 2009 for Dreamwave Wrestling and would lead Marshe Rockett part of his stable Da Soul Touchaz to gold. Red who has also wrestled himself has been one of the most ICONIC driving forces for Professional Wrestling throughout Illinois and has made a champion out of almost everyone he has ever come into contact with. Red is also a family man himself but goes above and beyond that as a school teacher in the Chicago IL area and is all about giving back to his community. Now we make him a champion in ICONS. It was our proud honor to induct “The Urban Sensation” C. Red into ICONS of The Illinois Valley. C. Red will FOREVER be an ICON!

Trained by Powerhouse Wrestling's Brian Dean & Tim Lyle in 1997 Benito Syn Gonzalez quickly became a main staple of Powerhouse Wrestling for many number of years. A former Powerhouse Wrestling Light Heavyweight Champion would go on to have much success in Powerhouse and other places throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. In 2003 with the help of his wife Mel Storm and at the time his business partner Nick Logan they formed Wicked Wrestling Alliance. WWA would have a strong 5 year run in the Illinois Valley before closing down in 2008. WWA returned for one last event in 2011. Syn is a former WWA Heavyweight Champion. Syn would have much success in the Quad Cities, IL, IA, MI, and even MO. This 20 year vet helped pave the way for our own "Sadistic" Sean David and others. Contributing to the Illinois Valley Wrestling Scene for the last 20+ years. I I remember seeing Syn for the first time at the Peru Mall in a casket match against Jason The Terrible for Powerhouse Wrestling. I remember years later meeting him when he owned Mind Games in LaSalle & he was getting ready to open Wicked. In October of 2003 he decided to take a chance on a kid with a dream... that kid was me and he started training me to do the only childhood dream I ever had and that was to be a wrestler. It's because of him I am where I am today. In 2008 I helped get him booked in the Quad Cities and he would go on to have much success there on a few different runs. Wicked to its credit is also responsible for the Botch Memorial event on the IL side of things and it was done more than once as Botch at one time was a big part of the Wicked Wrestling Alliance roster. Fans still to this day talk about Wicked and the impact it had on the area. Syn is also a family man himself who enjoys playing in bands and has run a Gaming store before. It was our proud honor to Induct my trainer, and my friend "The Sultan of Slither" Syn into the ICONS of The Illinois Valley. You will FOREVER be an ICON!

Trained by Brian & Tim Lyle in the mid the late 1990s Mark Freight Train Jonas was a force to be reckoned with to the Illinois Valley Area fans. Wheater he was a fan favorite or playing the role of the bad guy Freight Train Jonas would hit you like a Freight Train in that ring, hence the name. Freight Train was another Mainstay of Tim Lyles Powerhouse Championship Wrestling, alongside his brother Jonas The Giant. The kids took a liking to Freight Train Jonas as one of Powerhouse Wrestlings most colorful characters. Freight Train & his brother Jonas The Giant would have great success as Tag Team Wrestlers. In 2007 Freight Train Jonas & his brother Jonas The Giant opened Midwest Wrestling Association in Princeton IL. While the company itself didnt have the greatest of success it was a starting source for the man we now call "Sadistic" Sean David. I first met Freight Train in 2002 at a Powerhouse show in Spring Valley and actually came out to the ring with him. In 2007 they original hired me to manage, but when Freight Train realized he did not have an opponent he chose me and to his credit he put me over in my FIRST singles match. Freight Train Jonas was also a family man whom had children and loved his family. Freight Train Jonas was also a trucker to my understanding. When I learned of his passing it was heartbreaking because while Mark and I had our differences we always respected one another. It was also very close in timing to being around the time we lost Mike and that hit hard. I will never forget the deed he did for me. It was our honor to induct Freight Train Jonas into the ICONS of The Illinois Valley. Freight Train will FOREVER be an ICON!

Trained by Tim & Brian Lyle in the mid to late 1990s Mike Jonas aka Jonas The Giant was involved in the Professional Wrestling Business in the Illinois Valley for over a decade. One of the biggest BIG men The Illinois Valley has ever seen. He was a mainstay with Tim Lyle's Powerhouse Championship Wrestling but also went on to wrestle throughout the Midwest. Standing in at close to 7 feet talk and weighing in at close to 400 lbs Jonas was a TRUE Giant. He would go on to have a lot a success almost everywhere he went. Alongside his brother Freight Train Jonas they would become a dominant force in Tag Team Wrestling in this area and beyond. Jonas may have been a Giant, but outside the ring he was a true family man who loved his kids and family very much. He was a gentle giant if you didnt get on his bad side. The Illinois Valley will always remember Jonas for not only his size, but his true ability in the ring. I first met Jonas in 1997 or 1998 when he wrestled at the Peru Mall. When WWE Tough Enough first came around I called Jonas and said this is your time, they didnt agree, but I believe they missed out on a chance to have a GIANT that couldve done him a lot of good, had it been a decade earlier I believe that Jonas wouldve gone on to be a BIGGER Star. When I started training Jonas & I would go over things and he helped with what he could. In 2007 I had the opportunity to work for Jonas & his brothers fed. Jonas was responsible for me having my first singles match in Princeton IL. Jonas & I were very close and when I got the news of his passing I knew that we truly lost one of the good guys. He was not only someone I knew, he was my friend. It was our proud honor to induct Jonas The Giant as the 1st Inductee into the ICONS of The Illinois Valley. He will FOREVER be an ICON!
