It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we must announce the CANCELATION of IYKYKampout Feat: Zen Selekta and Comisar please believe we did everything we could to try and host a safe fun event, but unfortunately the decision has been made for us.
When we were first planning this event, in January, we called the county to ask about the permit process. We were assured it was relatively simple, and told everything we would need. The venue has had numerous events throughout their history, with no issues or surprises.
Before submitting the permit application, I double checked with the county to make sure we had everything we needed. We submitted the permit before the deadline, and it went into review. Less than 2 weeks before the event, the county notified the venue that it needed to be inspected before the permit could be approved and proceeded to set the inspection for the morning of our event. Despite our best efforts, we were not able to get the inspection moved up any sooner. With all this, we decided it wasn't smart, or safe, to wait till the morning of the event to find out whether our event was going to be allowed to happen. While we believe the inspection won't be an issue, the county has been so unpredictable that we don't feel comfortable taking a chance on everyone coming out, if they decided to not issue the permit. So we've made the very carefully thought over, and hard decision, to CANCEL IYKYKampout. We thank you all for your support for what would have been our first real festival event, but unfortunately we were met with forces greater than ourselves (this time)
