For this remix/mashup, it was important that the track properly honor the legacy of Mac Miller, who passed away around 4 years prior to this collaboration, in September 2018. The beat is sampled from a track called "Lights" by Vanilla, and the acapella is from Mac Miller's song, "Kool Aid and Frozen Pizza", off one of his early album's, "K.I.D.S." (2010). Reminiscent of his early work, this remix/mashup project was aimed to bring out the cool, chill & positive vibes his music delivered during that era.

New artwork for the "SpringTide" mixtape cover is out!!!
The goal of this mixtape project was to blend a series of tracks from artists whose assembly would help create the sounds of a "SpringTide" vibe, as we turn into the season, and the natural world around us revives and reinvigorates its beauty.

Some of the most memorable experiences at concerts/shows are not necesarily from big extravagant production value. It's usually when event organizers take the time to really create something unique in form, different from the rest, an intimate experience for the crowd & preformer(s), where community is felt and the vibe is right. ... We are ripping a page out of that playbook. I'm excited to announce soon that DJ Cofino has partnered with a uniquely special establishment.
