✨ Experience it together ✨

One of my favourite pieces of advice to give couples is to STAY TOGETHER.
Experience your whole wedding day together, as much as you can!

If there are people you haven’t seen in ages, be excited to see them with your new spouse.
If you have guests that one of you hasn’t met, introduce them and tell stories of how you know each other.
When you get on the dance floor, boogie together. And at the bar? Grab a drink for your partner!
Your guests will love chatting to you as a pair, and it will feel like the most epic date night!

The memories of your wedding day are such great memories, make them even better by making them shared memories!

Today was an extra day!

The rotation of the earth and the sun has resulted in us having a whole extra day this year. This could be an extra day to chill, or to work out, or just to work, or maybe to get some extra planning in for your wedding!

Anyone take the leap year tradition of proposing and run with it??? Friends of mine are actually celebrating their 16 (or 4) year anniversary today after having their first date, and wedding, on a leap day!

Fundamentally, everything I do is focussed on making you feel this good on your wedding day!

My role includes all of the big things that you thought of, like:
✨ Liaising with suppliers before the event
✨ Being point of contact for suppliers on the day
✨ Handling any payments on the day
✨ Helping to create a timeline for the main event
✨ Styling any personal decor or table place settings
✨ Managing your guests and making them comfortable
✨ Keeping the day to time and dealing with any unforeseen issues

But it can often be so much more than that!
✨ Finding spare shoes from inside the house
✨ Checking the toilets are fully stocked and clean
✨ Running to get umbrellas because it starts raining during your vows
✨ Fixing the burst pipe someone put a dart through
✨ Making sure the kids in the paddling pool don't get the cameras wet
✨ Getting everyone home safe and turning off that generator

The good news is that I genuinely enjoy all my duties. From the big to the small, from the standard to the down right unbelievable! Weird or wonderful, that is what I am there for! 🤣

Have you ever considered using your favourite restaurant for your wedding breakfast, or another private dining space? What’s to say you have to have a caterer come into a wedding venue?

If there’s a place you’ve always wanted to try, why not take your friends and family along with you for the experience!

A&N chose for their meal because they love the food there! And the best part? This graffiti is actually on the walls of the Street Pizza party space they have downstairs! Great food AND you can keep the dancing going till the early hours!! 🎉

How I feel about starting 2023!!

I’ve had an incredible year. We’ve travelled all over, have met up with lots of family and old friends, made lots of new ones, got engaged, got a new house, done a shed load of work on said house and did I mention, got engaged!!!!

I’m exhausted at the end of 2022 having worked several jobs alongside one other and I can’t wait to stretch my wings, focus on what’s important to me and get my teeth stuck into what we have planned ahead of us!

As a way of introduction today I wanted to share some bad news and some good news.

Bad news - I’m no good at Instagram. I never make time to post and I always get stuck with what to say. (Today I’m sat having my hair coloured for the first time in years so taking the opportunity to hop online!)

Good news - You’re not here because you want me to manage your Instagram! You want me to manage your wedding! And that, my friend is something I’m especially good at!

I enjoy talking to everyone; finding out their stories and sharing mine. I am a person who doesn’t shy away from a group of people I don’t know, but looks forward to the interesting and exciting friends I may make. I enjoy meeting and working with a vast range of people, and it definitely benefits me on a wedding day! Being able to easily relate and communicate always helps to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Bonus? I have so much fun doing it!

I joined the WBC a little while ago in order to get my head around how I wanted to run my business, and to connect with other like minded people in the wedding industry. Today I attended the WBC Live event and it was everything and more! I not only got to meet, in person, some of the brilliant individuals I aspire to be and to work alongside but also made some incredible new friends! And I cannot wait to start planning my next steps!!

There was never any question for A&R. Their first meal as a married couple was always going to be from the laid back food trucks they had discovered at their local food market.
Relaxed, really quite delicious, and 100% a reflection of the chilled out pair tying the knot!

Does anyone else look at a plane flying overhead and start running through all the possible destinations it could have and then just marvel at the fact that the ability to fly is just bonkers!

Maybe just me and a lazy day thought process whilst I lay in the sun.

This weekend is our last one before 4months of weddings kick off. I’m beyond excited to get back to it, but also savouring the more gentle speed of this last few days.

Day-of schedule meeting tomorrow so last few bits of admin to do… but after the sun has gone down!

I am so excited to see my family this weekend, and stay over, and hug my mum! And I have a wedding! What a bloody brilliant week. See that face? That’s how excited I am!

It has a been a busy couple of months here at HQ. We are getting all our life admin ducks in a row, so that as the weddings start rolling, we have all the energy we will need!

I’ve been having some great planning meetings with On-The-Day clients, and a sight visit in the next few weeks! So excited to get my heels on and get out there.

I think part of the fun in planning a wedding is in exploring and researching. Finding styles, locations and suppliers that truly fit you!

No matter what it is you’re looking for, or don’t know you’re looking for yet, there will be someone out there perfect to deliver it! And I can help you find them.

I received my copy of annual last week, so for this afternoon, with the sun shining on the snow outside, I’m going to snuggle down with a cuppa and enjoy my research!
