Well, that covid thing took all the fun out of weddings.... fingers are crossed, it looks like after a few years of chaos, weddings are BACK!
So much has changed in the last couple of years... weddings have changed... wedding vendors have changed, the way peeps are getting hitched has changed.
One thing that hasn't is the magnificent Grampians ... still the most stunning location to get married.
The Grampians Weddings Directory is about to be redeveloped! We aren't taking it down until the new one is ready to roll because it is still used - LOTS - thousands of peeps are still scrolling the directory daily.... and the numbers have sort of hit records in the last few weeks.

Brilliant Photographer Insights - Have a quick read

Let’s talk about ‘wedding traditions’ or what I like to refer to as “the s**t you think you need to do and have because everyone else did”

Did you know that the reason that you carry a bouquet is that many moons ago they used flowers to mask body odor 😳 Dead set legends. Flowers were used to mask your stink. Bouquets are one inclusion to our day that I personally love.

That said, there are may things you do no have to do and I would list them but I think it would be much easier to list what you do need…

What a wild year it’s been, I know it’s been extremely difficult for a lot of people, especially people like these two who have had to postpone their plans several times and be with their families through a screen.

It’s an absolute privilege to be part of days like that when your mother can’t be there in the flesh but I can. I certainly don’t take it lightly and here’s hoping we get to hug a bit more in 2022.

Two reasons to celebrate - the first wedding ceremony that Becky B officiated and the happy marriage of SHERYL-LEE & DARREN

Congratulations to all three of you :)

Repost: After their 1st wedding plans were put on hold a year earlier due to the C bomb Sheryl-Lee contacted me to see if I’d be available to officiate their day in their beautiful garden at Casterton.

I jumped at the opportunity & what a beautiful celebration it was.

The biggest thing that stood out to me on the day was not only the love & support they show each other, but also how important bringing their blended families together was. I honestly could’ve stayed & chatted all evening with everyone.

The ceremony was sincere, relaxed, fun & everyone made me feel so welcome.

I just adored Sheryl-Lee’s beautiful dress & the laid back vibes on the day.

They were an absolute dream to work with & I can’t thank them both enough for placing their trust in me. I’m sure the big party they have planned in the future will top off the beginning of a beautiful marriage ♥️

The aisle walk is possibly one of my fav moments. It’s overflowing with feels and it’s the fist time you walk together as married folk.
Here’s some of my fav ways to make it legendary and on the flip side get yourself some rad photos...

⚡️ Let your folks congratulate you while you’re still up front.
⚡️ Pick a tune and dance your way back down that aisle.
⚡️ Maybe get your folks involved, let them rock the aisle first
⚡️ Toss some stuff like Confetti poppers, flowers, leaves.
⚡️ Go slow, stay together, soak it up
⚡️ Get your celebrant to ask guests to toss confetti over you not at you.
⚡️ Look up for your photographer + celebrate hard.
