Before we get to the article! Can we recap our event with this room filled of radiant, beautiful, inspiring black women. This room of women who lifted me up with their words, and support as my team and I created meals to feed their souls.

It’s always fun when the moment is right, and I’m asked to speak. This time around, my hands & my feet were sweating as I spoke to this room of guest telling them the hard work, dedication, time & effort I’ve devoted to creating this brand.

Their support in exchange carried me through the rest of August.

Thank you to the branch for inviting me to join their 2nd annual Taste of Juneteenth!

Join me this Sunday as my team & I display delectable bites for you to enjoy!

The NAACP Martha's Vineyard Branch created and held the first annual Taste of Juneteenth event in Oak Bluffs to celebrate Black community, culture, and liberation while highlighting and uplifting local aspiring and established Chefs and Bakers.

This year's food tasting/sampling showcase of local Black and Indigenous culinary professionals, features soulfully inspired dishes that reflect the Black cultural experience, fused with diverse cultures and traditions. There will also be an array of information booths to showcase their businesses and organizations.

When I started cooking 2 years ago Romain bought lunch everyday. There were days when he & his coworker were my only customers.

He pushed me even when I wanted to give up, & regardless of how difficult it may be - he still shows up in suit & armor ready to offer his help whenever he can.

If you’ve met Romain, you’ve probably met him washing dishes after a session because that is my least favorite task,so it’s always where he helps me most. Most husbands get a run for their money when they see mine come in immediately & starts washing dishes. 😂

When the food is the burning, and the pressure is on in the kitchen he’s the first person to pull me aside and help me to calm down. Once the word “need” is shared, Romain will abandon everything else to help me, to massage out the rough edges, and get us to the finish line - even when he has to drag ME.

Thank you for the balance, for the reassuring words, for the support, and love especially through the hard times.

I wish you a very very happy birthday filled with love & blessings!

This summer has been such an amazing & wonderful experience.

I’ve had the opportunity to share MY culinary experience with so many of you, and I can’t wait to see all of you again along with new faces! In this Nyamnz family, we grow together. So sharing this journey has been a huge passion of mine.

My hearts only desire is that I always make food so good it makes you want to get up & dance! In this video I will be sharing some of my moments with you all this summer.

Along with Hosting this years legacy dinner with the amazing ‘s .

I also visited the 50-acre farm. Creating a 3 course okra menu for an event featuring the outstanding & culinary historian .
