I figured I would start the first open discussion on the Lovie & Lola page by talking about something that has been on many people's mind lately, especially if you are somebody with a big event coming up soon. That's right everyone, we are talking about COVID-19 and how it may be affecting your planning process. If you are currently planning an event, and I mean any (ex. birthday party, wedding, anniversary party) how has the virus impacted your planning? I have had a lot of people tell me that they have had to scale down, push back, or even cancel their event due to this.

From a planning perspective some great suggestions I have seen is definitely to postpone your event to avoid losing deposits- if you cancel outright there is a big chance of losing out on your deposit and the space that you loved! Another great tip is maybe you move away from the weekends when rescheduling. Due to the virus many people will be rescheduling their large scale events- although this is a MUST right now, you don't want to lose the hype surrounding this event, the farther you push back your date, the easier it is for people put the event in the back of their minds. Lastly make sure that if you have a planner or are doing this by yourself that you are checking in on your timeline. If your event is within the next few months, what have you gotten done and what is COVID-19 going to prevent you from doing? Make sure you are on your P's & Q's because if you are planning something big you want to make sure that when you get back in the swing of things you aren't behind in your planning.

Has anybody ever experienced a major set back before an event that may have constituted a reschedule or a change of plans? What are some tips/advice you can give about how to handle that kind of situation? How did you handle the stress? Let us know and drop a comment below so everyone who is dealing with this situation now can get some helpful insight from someone who has gone through it!

Hello Everyone, I am so happy you found your way to my page. Lovie & Lola has been a dream of mine for quite some time now. It took a while but it is finally up and running and I can't wait to expand and get to know everyone. Lovie & Lola was created for couples who really want to get married but may not be able to afford a wedding planner. My goal was to create a space and service for those couples who may need a little extra help in their planning. No matter the budget, your big day can be a hit. I am hoping that this will be a place where those who have been married before are able to offer their expertise as well as a space where new ideas and trends can be explored for those who are in the thick of it with planning their big day. Whether you have already had your big day, planning your wedding, or simply just love weddings we want to hear from you! My services are not up and running yet but be on the lookout for more information!😜

Again thank you so much for liking the Lovie & Lola page! Please share on your page and look out for our first official post!

Love,
