So lovely to go back through photos of this gorgeous couple from late summer last year.
So looking forward to when flowers re-emerge in their abundance. There’s still lots to see though! Cyclamen are favourite now in particular.
The trees are beginning-to bud though and in a months time the sun will be setting close to 7pm 😊 how nice will that be!

I am one of the weird few that usually LOVE new year. In a bit of a goofy, romanticised way because I like how strangers interact on the street. Passing each other, in big groups or on your own breaking the silence that usually divides people wishing each other a good new year and find it heartwarming.
But yesterday I feel slightly differently, stuck in a bit of a weird place pulled between reflecting on the past and thinking about the future, I was unable to really feel present.
Culturally we’re taught to divide time into blocks which mark the end and the beginning of time but in truth the last two years have felt like one long continuous year - of constant change with many familiar and repetitive loops.
There have been so many beautiful, joyful moments and the feeling of relief in amongst it all has been blissful but I thought I’d post this here for anyone feeling that same weird limbo.
A lovely friend shared the words of Elizabeth Gilbert:

You are not required to justify your existence on earth through constant improvement.
A you are not a Fortune 500 company. You do not have to show increasing profits.
You do not have to earn your right to be here by putting yourself to higher and higher standards
You just get to be here
You are loved on earth
