Acrylic sketch
What to do with 30 mins of free time? A lil acrylic sketch of Minster Lovell Bridge from a snap on my phone.
Fair to say I ♥️ painting trees

Commission for Mystic Games
A retro mural for their vintage gaming room. Such a cool place to spend the day painting.
Pop in and head upstairs next time you're in town to see the awesome set up Mystics have got going on.

Sooo excited about my Fantasy Castle workshop today at Mystic Games!
Medals! 🥰
Last week we made gorgeous, twinkly medals for the special people in our lives.
The vast majority had incredibly touching messages written on them. I couldn't post those heartfelt writings, no matter how stunning the medals were.
It makes me so proud knowing that my Art Clubbers feel confident enough to create such touching pieces of art, and to share them with me.
It was wonderful to see the love last week. This week we're going all in for laughter - watch this space 🤭
Rice rice baby!
Last week we created our own island maps using rice as a template. The detail was brilliant, and we got lots of sneaky writing and descriptive words in our pictures too. I love mixing art with English - it adds another dimension entirely!
Have a great weekend!

Inspired by E in my Thursday group and her love of all things cottagecore, I created a glowing paperbag house session this week.
I was blown away by how awesome they all looked. Tissue paper is such an amazing medium!
Well done everyone, and have a wonderful half term! You are all fantastic artists!!

Spring has come to Witney Community Primary School - I've been working on the Year 1 outside area this week, transforming it into an enchanted garden!
Huge thanks to The paint shed and Relics of Witney Limited for donating the paint!

Flashback to my Banksy project for the gorgeous Sunshine Class at @witneycommunityprimary
It was so good to give the children a tangible glimpse of street art. I loved how excited they were to write their names on the wall. I hope more children will add their names - that's the meaning behind the picture after all:
Everyone is bright, unique and a lasting memory - just like the names on the wall ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤

Last week we experimented with felt tip and chalk to see what textures we could make for our robot designs.
There were some brilliant, shiny, metallic creations, and we learned just how easy texture can be with the right tools.
This week we've been making our moving robots, but I completely underestimated how long the session would take, so I haven't been able to take any pictures 😢
It's a huge shame, because the children at St Mary's knocked it out of the park yesterday afternoon, with fantastic, individual and imaginative robots. They may be my youngest group, but they are absolutely amazing artists! You've raised the bar, St Mary's!! ❤️🖌️

Last week we kicked the half term off with decoupage on the theme of Internet cats.
Some hilarious pictures came out of it and fantastic cutting out too!
I've noticed that scissor skills seem to have been affected by the pause in schooling over the past few years. Hopefully, last week's sessions have helped a bit with those skills!
We're being really brave and attacking growth mindset in this week's Art Clubs. I'm so so proud of the two groups I've already had for their resilience and perseverance. Keep an eye out for the awesome outcomes of these sessions. I'm so impressed ❤️

I still have spaces on Wednesdays at St Mary's and Thursdays at Witney CP. If you're not sure about booking, take a look at some of the gorgeous things Art Clubbers and their grown ups have said about my sessions! ❤️
I have spaces still available for my January sessions
Witney CP - Tuesday 3:10-4:15
St Mary's - Wednesday 3 - 3:45
Witney CP - Thursday 3:10-4:15
And I'm compiling a waiting list for my Monday group at The Batt which is now full 😍
Here is a sneak peak of some of the projects lined up for next half term 👀
These cupcakes are fake!
I totally underestimated how brilliantly the Art Clubbers would make their fake cupcakes today.
If a child offers you a cupcake DO NOT EAT IT! Foam clay isn't edible
I honestly couldn't believe how much more convincing the fake cupcakes were than the real ones we made. Great work guys!
Our ultimate holiday plans. So so much variety and so much imagination. Absolutely love the thought and fun in every picture ❤️

This week we made our own games complete with cotton ball (or marshmallow) catapults!
The variety of games was awesome, and the subtle lesson in perspective seems to have paid off. Check out all the spectators and the vanishing points!
So much fun. All children were under strict instructions not to fire anything harder or heavier than marshmallows in their catapults!

The Art Club children have jumped into this half term with both feet, already producing some amazing art!
We made our coats of arms this week - displaying things that represent us. So impressed with the creativity and range of ideas!
A huge shout out to D in my Thursday group who put 'robbing a bank' on his shield 😜 I've been chuckling all morning. 👮

I've been a bit quiet on social media recently, and those of you who were at Witney Carnival today probably saw why.
I'm super chuffed the floats I made for @witneycommunityprimary didn't fall apart, and I can't actually believe we won the prize for best walking float.
Painting the boats was brilliant fun, and devising eco and budget friendly (apart from the gaffer tape) floats and costumes was ever better. I absolutely love a project, especially one that can benefit such a lovely community.
Thank you so much to the amazing children and parents who brought the floats to life. Without you it was just a pile of cardboard and canes. 😘
The idea last week was to make clay birds with dangley legs, then paper plate versions of our creations, but things got weird in the most amazing and creative way.
While we had a flock of funny birds, we also had bears with glasses, cats, dogs and even Ed Sheeran Ed Sheeran
I love a tangent, almost as much as I love the chicken feet W from year 1 in WCP put on his model. Keep an eye out for them in the reel 😍😂
This week we're venturing away from birds and into space.

Flapping birds of paradise! 🦜
We had so much fun drawing birds and then making moving models last week.
Seeing children still flapping their birds on their way home was super rewarding.
Can't wait for the new project starting today. Watch this space! 🐦🐦🐦

I'm currently away on my first holiday since November, I would post pics, but most of them are of light - coz I'm all arty, ain't I?
Probably more interesting to look at my first batch of prototypes for the coming half term.
It's always tricky to create activities that will inspire the wide range of age groups and interests, not to mention the two different types of artists. I think there is enough for the precision pros and the creativity bosses to sink their teeth into.
I'll get started on the second batch when I'm back from photographing sunlight, abseiling down mineshafts (don't ask) and chasing pigeons!
Hope everyone is having an equally awesome half term! 😘
Epic anime faces.
I absolutely love how the anime style allows everyone to create what they set out to - to a standard they are happy with, PLUS it gives so much scope for creativity.
A quick 5 minute lesson and a simple guide frame and every single child of the 60 I saw last week was able to draw something they were proud of.
I adore the range of aliens, princesses, dogs, wizards and mice. And the colour schemes chosen just wowed me.
Shout out to the three artists at the end of the reel. So much creativity - keep those imaginations firing!! 😍
Have an awesome half term and I can't wait to see you back in June. I'll be posting snapshots as I create lesson examples. Expect space crossbows, galaxies, crazy perspectives, seagulls and birds of paradise. 😁

Sticky treasures!!
This week we've been channelling Andrew Logan, making mosaics out of random and sparkly stuff. We used sticky backed a4 instead of glue so the artists could take their masterpieces home straight away with them!
Shout outs to J in year 4 at Witney cp for his 3D tree, G in year 3 at Witney cp for her landscape, M in year 2 at St Mary's for her dog and the year 1s at the Batt for their amazing bees
#andrewlogan #kidsart #artclub
Amazing fun this week with St Mary's and The Batt exploring all things sweet. I wonder if anyone was fooled by our prank doughnuts 🤔
A fair few of the students planning their dream chocolate factories fully intended on building them - I hope to see hit chocolate factories and rainbow flavour labs springing up all over Witney! 🍩🍫🍬🍭
Yay for string and shiny things!
Last week's sessions were amazing - using split pins and embroidery thread to create pictures. Great for the brain and brilliant for motor movement too! Shout out to the J's in year 4 at Witney Community Primary School who produced fantastic work and even better ideas!!
I've got lots of projects bubbling away at the moment, which has delayed my post about the second batch of holiday clubs last week.
I had to post these pictures - the children were amazing. They all produced really lovely things to take away with them. So super proud, especially with the age range of 4 - 12 that they all engaged so well! 🤩
Thanks so so much to everyone who booked 😘
Last weeks workshops were AMAZING. We had awesome anime and manga fun and the children created brilliant artworks. So proud
Thanks to everyone who booked.
Looking forward to the second round of workshops tomorrow!
