Today was an incredible day in the valley. A local veteran and his family were gifted a HOME. I had the honor and privilege to plan the surprise groundbreaking ceremony. What they thought was their final interview was actually one of two stops to sharing the news with them. First privately to see the style of home they will have. Second stop was to view their lot where they were greeted by family, friends, law-enforcement, employees, trade partners, vendors and public safety officials. With all that is going on in the world and life, it was a beautiful reminder this morning of kindness, love and compassion for others. Proud of our valley today and proud of this community surrounding this beautiful family.🇺🇸🏡

A summer sunset surprise. ☀️

Alyssa + DJ surprised their guests with not only electric colors but also the wedding ceremony! Their guests had no idea they would be witnessing vows between the two. Instead they thought they were just invited to celebrate and party. The two casually walked out to the center of the dance floor, escorted by their parents who also had no idea.

It was a beautiful day and worth the wait! 🩷

Happy Anniversary to the Bales! What a beautiful January day this was.🤍

I decided to do a little series about all of the 2023 weddings. I am going to share highlights from each wedding, how we design, how decisions were made and the bumps in the road. 🌿

Starting off with the Mattos Wedding! Kelsie is what I call an angel on earth as she works as a pediatric nurse. Jackson works in AG. With both having demanding schedules, planning a wedding had its challenges but handled it like champs!

Well this story wouldn’t be complete without sharing that 39 days prior to their wedding. Their wedding venue was engulfed in water. They were getting married on the river and their venues lower level completely flooded. Wiping away ceremony and cocktail hour and with our guest count we wouldn’t have been able to accommodate solely on the top level. I had planned a wedding in the same town at a private residence that would be absolutely perfect for them. I made the phone call fingers crossed and they said yes! The Steele Estate became the gorgeous backdrop for the Mattos Wedding. We will forever be grateful for Sheri and Todd. They absolutely saved the day! I had their son and daughter in laws wedding there. So we based the similar layout on what we did for them with a few tweaks. They got married under the beautiful big oak tree. Sunset portraits were incredible and they danced the night away!

No two weddings are alike but they can have similarities. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It was truly the biggest compliment that she loved one of my previous weddings so much that she got her inspiration from it! It was such a joy planning with these two!

Hello 2024! ✨

I thought it was time to introduce myself again! For those who don’t know, I am Giovanna - or for most people, Gio. I am the owner of Olive + Grace Events. We are a full service wedding + event planning business, that also likes to have fun with balloons! O + G only offers two packages, partial or full service planning.

Over the last year I’ve really dived into colliding my two passions together: bringing people together and design. I realized very quickly, I love nothing more than to create a wedding day that embodies the couple. Who they are as individuals, but also who they are together. Designing a look that is timeless and classic to them. Bringing elements of family heritage into the design in subtle ways. Then ultimately seeing all the work come together on their wedding day! I’m thankful to have the opportunity to do what I love most for all my lovely 2024 couples!

The list can go on, it was a wonderful day! A day that reminded me how much I love what I do. That the 14 hour office days are worth it, just to watch something with so much love come together.

As many times as I see a black and white wedding. I will never get it over. There is something so timeless about this look. I loved the route Tara went with her look. From her dress to her pearl necklace. Everything tied in so beautiful together. Congrats again to Mr and Mrs Wyatt Jackson!🌿
