HEY LADIES, not into football??? Instead of listening to the men yell at the tv during the lions game, join your girlfriends at the listening room in the skyline event center. As the Listening Room is featuring Minneapolis duo, Good Morning Bedlam, who will be playing their energetic blend of original music. Doors open for a light meal and snacks at 3pm, coincidently the same time as kickoff, with music starting at 4pm. Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy them playing their own original songs and skip the inevitable yelling at the referees.

Buffalo Rose is a charismatic six-piece modern folk/Americana band from Pittsburgh, PA. They take the singer-songwriter tradition to a new level by crafting original songs which are emotive, meticulously arranged, and inspired by a world of idiosyncratic influences that never let a dull or predictable moment creep in.
The band's most recent release Again, Again, Again has brought forth a shimmering and sophisticated sound to their well crafted songs. A follow up to their 2022 EP Rabbit, a project created in collaboration with Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Tom Paxton, they released two records last year and show no signs of slowing down. Their 2018 debut album, The Soil and the Seed, established them as a vocal, instrumental, and creative force. Since then, Buffalo Rose has dropped two EPs, 2019’s Big Stampede and 2020’s Borrowed and Blue, opened for the Wood Brothers, Mipso, Pokey LaFarge, Tyler Childers, Infamous Stringdusters, and shared a festival stage with the legendary Sam Bush.
Buffalo Rose's lineup of Lucy Clabby (vocals), Margot Jezerc (vocals), Bryce Rabideau (mandolin), Malcolm Inglis (dobro), Jason Rafalak (upright bass), and Shane McLaughlin (guitar, vocals) pushes itself and each other far beyond their perceived limits and blends their diverse and atypical approach to songwriting with the desire to see how unique a song can get and still feel like home. They use powerful vocal harmonies, strong playing, and an original vision to operate at every possible emotional level and put on dynamic live shows that are unforgettable experiences. They go from up and moving to sad and sweet and back again, bringing the entire audience along.

Good Morning Bedlam is the folk-rock band from Minneapolis, MN. In 2019 they claimed the first-place title at the John Hartford Memorial Festival Band Competition, and were finalists at the NWSS Band Competition. Their shows are known for their wild energy and stunning harmonies. GMB has played at festivals alongside artists such as Shakey Graves, Sam Bush, Jason Isbell, The Infamous Stringdusters, Trampled By Turtles and others. In 2021 GMB ran a successful Kickstarter in July of 2021 for their much anticipated third full-length record ‘Lulu’ where fans from around the world pledged a total of $34,000. GMB has been featured on Bluegrass Today, Relix Magazine, Glide Magazine, and Paste Magazine. Now in 2023 the band is gearing up to release a brand new EP titled Dear Day, Dear Darling in the Fall of this year.

It's time to start purchasing your tickets for our next show on May 20th with the Kate Hinote Trio.

The Kate Hinote Trio is a contemporary folk ensemble and features Hinote’s longtime Blueflowers bandmate, David Johnson, on guitar and Matthew Parmenter (Discipline) on violin. John Sinkevics of Local Spins and WYCE in Grand Rapids, MI, describes the trio as a “new indie-folk/prog-folk trio which manages to not only retain and showcase Hinote’s haunting, mesmerizing vocals but centers them in a fetching, gorgeously arranged acoustic pillow.”
