Let’s talk reception tables. Charlie Ondeck from taught me that the best way to elevate a table design is texture and depth.

That can be achieved with your dinnerware, table dressings, and of course, your flowers. If you like to throw a good party with an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere, I encourage you to invest in your reception flowers.

My favorite reception florals are large compotes for round tables, or elevated florals like the one above.

Pro Tip: When you were working with your florist to build your wedding floral order, start with the things that mean the most to you.

Let’s talk about cake flowers! You know me, if it sits still… let’s flower it! But in the case of cakes I prefer a cake meadow.

1. They are super pretty and create so much impact!
2. They won’t smudge your cake.
3. They are very easy to move away from the cake for cutting.
4. Sometimes flowers have chemicals on them from where they were farmed. I don’t like putting flowers in a cake for that reason. I, like many other lovely humans, am super sensitive to these things and we like to keep our clients protected 🤍

It’s been a while so I thought I would reintroduce myself.

Hi! I’m Samantha, the owner operator of Willow & Pine Floral Design. I have been MIA for a few months due to the Wild West of wedding season and some other cool tricks I have up my sleeve.

I like Stanley Cups, green tea lemonade, dachshunds, and weighted blankets. I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter and just recently became the biggest Disney nerd due to my recent first trip to Disney World as a real life grown up. (The magic is real y’all!)

I’m highly ambitious and super ADHD which keeps life interesting and I really, really, REALLY, like making wedding days pop with flowers 💐 Keep a look out for some super cool updates coming soon!
