BURRA CREEK REED REMOVAL PUBLIC NOTICE

In accordance with the Burra Creek Management Plan, as part of Council’s capital works for 2024/2025, funds have been allocated to remove the reeds from the Burra Creek for improvement of public amenities and fire mitigation of the vegetation and surrounding area.

The anticipated work timeframe will be 6-8 weeks.

The water supply to the creek will be isolated as of 26th December 2024 for a duration of 3 weeks to dry the creek out in preparation for removal of the vegetation.

A requirement of the Burra Creek Management Plan is to construct a temporary dam north of the caravan park for the purpose of relocating the turtles during scheduled works.

The St Just Sisters would like to make it clear that a recent ABC article and following media attention about the Homophobia in the Mid North has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with with either Missima Treat or myself KymmBerlei. We have had such acceptance , respect and affection from all of the Mid North communities. Our sell out shows in Whyalla, Mount Bryan, Burra, Terowie and Broken Hill. We have raised many thousands of dollars for community groups over the past Three Years.
We provide free entertainment in Aged Care facilities and community events.
