🐮🎵 This is your invitation to our Moo Music Pyjama Party! 🥰

🐻 First of all, feel free to come dressed in your pyjamas (adults too, if you want 😂) and bring your teddy, ready for snuggling down in bed! 🧸

🧋 We'll have a nice milky drink in our pyjamas and then have a midnight feast! 😋

🤗 We'll then have a tickle session before having a cuddle and getting ready to settle off to sleep. 😴🛌

😃 We still have spaces in the following classes:-

✨ Ballynahinch Baby Moo Tuesday at 11am
✨ Newcastle Mixed Moo Thursday at 10am

🐮🎵 Baby Moo is a class suitable from birth until babies are crawling and no longer want to spend the majority of the class on the mats in front of you. 😃

🥰 We start and end with the same songs, which the babies will start to recognise and respond to. Lots of them get excited when they hear the music and will shake their maracas with enthusiasm. 🪇

🤗 In the middle of each session, we follow a different theme and we incorporate the following:-

🤠 Dressing up
🥁 A rhythm song, using simple instruments.
💃 An action song, when we'll pick up our babies and help them experience the different sensations of movement.
💦 Some sensory exploration time and time spent on tummies
👂 We also have a chance to have a chat to those around us

🥰 The session is a lovely experience that you can enjoy together, with plenty of opportunities for eye contact and touch. Singing to your child helps them to start to understand the rhythms of speech and to make connections between the sounds and their meaning.

👶🐮 Baby Moo is currently fully booked in Downpatrick on Fridays at 11.45am (contact me to join the waiting list). However, I have spaces available in the sessions in Ballynahinch on Tuesday mornings at 11am and Newcastle on Thursdays at 12noon. Classes cost £6.50 if purchased as part of a course or £7 PAYG.

🐮🎵 Happy Halloween Everyone! 👻🎃

😀 This is a photo of my gorgeous little boy dressed as Count Dracula, taken many years ago now. We are not only celebrating Halloween in our house, but also Ciara's 19th birthday - so there's lots going on!

🐮🎵 Moo Music is great for your child's development. But why is it so good? 🤔

😀 We use our bodies and simple instruments to emphasise the rhythm of the music we play. So think about how we start each session asking "Is Everybody Here?" We jump or bounce when we're asked to by the song, we shake our shakers along to the rhythm and we stamp our feet. In between, we wave our scarves - all to the rhythm of the song! 🙌

🥰 Young children learn about the world by using their senses. By moving to the rhythm of a song, you are introducing your child to the basic elements of language and communication. You are also engaging them in the music and language by using their body. Singing and putting actions to those words is a fantastic way to teach them the meaning of the words they hear. But most of all, it feels good, it's fun and it makes them want to carry on learning! 😃

🤗 Whether you have a new born baby or a child about to start school, they'll love to share the music with you in this way and they'll be building their brains in the process! Keep it going at home and try bouncing or swaying along to the music with your child. Stop - and see what they do? Do they smile, clap or ask for more? This early communication with you is amazingly powerful. Never underestimate the power of your attention!

🐮🎵 This week in Moo Music, we'll be telling the magical story of "Room on the Broom" by Julia Donaldson. We'll be bringing the story to life with our wonderful original music! 📖🎵

🧙 In this story, the witch is helped by various creatures whom she invites to join her for a ride on her broom! Her kindness is rewarded by the creatures when she finds herself in a terrifying situation. This adventure is perfect for the lead up to Halloween 🎃🪄🧹

✨ Fancy dress is optional for this session. If you have a halloween costume and you'd like to get some wear out of it, feel free (adults too 😂). However, dress up will be provided, so please don't feel obliged to go out and buy an outfit for this session. 🙌

🐮🎵 November can be a cold and miserable month, but not at Moo Music 🥳

😀 Our November sessions start with a Pyjama Party, so come in your comfiest PJs and we'll get the party started! 🌝🎉

🦖 In the second week, we go on an amazing dinosaur adventure and find out what these incredible creatures like to eat (who knew)? 🦕

🚜 We come back to the present day and visit the farm, meeting all the animals on the farm and driving a tractor! 🐷🐏🐔

📖 We'll finish the month off by telling the story of Stick Man - who finds himself being dragged further and further away from his family. Will he ever make it home to the family tree? This story ends with a visit from a character we'll get to know more at Christmas!🎅

🐮🎵 Temporary Venue Change 🤗

✨ Due to a problem with the lift at The Market House, the venue for my Ballynahinch sessions has moved until further notice.

✨ The new venue will be at St Patrick's Parish Centre at 24 Church Street, Ballynahinch BT24 8AF. This is next to the old Police Station site in Ballynahinch.

✨ Classes will be held in the smaller of the two Parish Halls which is accessed from the front of the site. There is a door at the front of the building with a small number of steps leading up to it. If you can't manage the steps, go towards the Church and go down the side of the church hall, where you'll see a ramp. This leads to the side door and will take you into a corridor which leads to the hall. Toilets can also be accessed from this corridor.

✨ When I visited the site this morning, I took a video to show you exactly how to find it, so I will make that into a reel and post it onto Facebook and Instagram over the next few days. It will be on there before the session next Tuesday. 🙌

✨ Apologies once again for any inconvenience caused.

🐮🎵 This is just a wee reminder to my Ballynahinch customers that the session is not running this morning due to the lift being out of order at The Market House.

I have sent out emails and texts to everyone who was booked on, so hopefully you are all aware of this - but I just thought I would post again to try and prevent anyone from making an unnecessary journey. 🙌

😀I've been given a few suggestions for temporary alternatives and I will be looking into those today, so we'll hopefully be running again next week. Keep an eye on your phones and my page for updates.

Refunds or class credits are available for today's session, the choice is yours.

🐮🎵 Attention Ballynahinch Moovers!

The owners of The Market House in Ballynahinch have informed me that their lift is out of order. 🙈 The part needed may take up to a month to arrive.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but I've decided to cancel classes until I can find a temporary alternative or until the lift is repaired. This is because a lot of customers rely on the lift.

I am happy to provide class credits or refunds to customers booked on and I will keep you informed of developments.

Classes will show as full until this situation is resolved.

🐮🎵 Welcome to Moo Music Mid Down!

😀 My name's Lucy and I started Moo Music Mid Down in March 2022. I'm pictured here with my daughter, Ciara, who was my reason for starting the business. I wanted to be able to employ her and pay her a wage for doing something that she loves doing - singing, dancing and entertaining people. She hasn't left school yet, so you'll only see her in class occasionally, but she can't wait to help me out full time. 💃

🥰 Moo Music helps with all areas of child development - the music and singing helps their speech and language development, the dancing and movement helps with their gross motor development and balance, the sensory play helps with their understanding of the world around them and they'll do this alongside children at a similar developmental stage, helping them to improve their social skills. 🙌

🤗 Moo Music is also fantastic for the adults, as it allows us an opportunity to connect with other adults looking after young children - and social connection is vital for us too! 😇

💃 Perhaps most importantly, Moo Music is great fun for both adult and child and allows you to make memories together that you'll cherish forever.

I'm not running classes during the week of Halloween as it's my eldest daughter's birthday and we have family coming to stay. However, I can fully recommend the events going on in Downpatrick and also in The Saint Patrick Centre 🧙🪄🎃

Did someone mention Halloween 🎃 in Downpatrick?? Our annual mini Halloween comes to the County Town on Thursday 31st October 2024.. SAVE THE DATE…🧙‍♀️

As ever, we have a range of spooky 👻 activities planned for visitors attending the event 👏😎🤗 which starts from 5.00pm ending around 8.00pm

St Patrick’s Square is our main event location and activities will also be hosted from within the Saint Patrick Centre..
