Check this out! Tonight at 6pm at the Rountree Elementary Gym. New program being offered by the Allen Police Dept.
This looks like a great opportunity for youth in Collin County!

The Allen Police Department, in partnership with the Allen Independent School District, is excited to announce the grand opening of the Allen Police Department Youth Boxing Gym, the first of its kind in Collin County, designed to mentor youth through the sport of boxing. The open house event will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Rountree Elementary Gym, located at 800 E Main St, Allen, TX 75002. Parking and entrance to the event are at the rear of the building for direct access to the gym.

This innovative program is dedicated to empowering local youth, ages 10 to 18, by providing them with mentorship and leadership development through structured training and guidance in boxing. The gym's motto, "Mentoring Future Leaders," reflects the commitment to fostering a positive environment where young
people can build discipline, confidence, and leadership skills, both inside and outside the ring.

During the open house, attendees will hear from several key speakers who have firsthand experience with similar police boxing gym programs, sharing the positive impacts and success stories these initiatives have had on youth development and community relations. In addition to learning more about the program, attendees will
have the opportunity to:
• Meet with program organizers and local law enforcement
• Explore volunteer coaching opportunities
• Discover sponsorship options for supporting the gym
• Sign up youth participants

The Allen Police Department is calling on community members, local businesses, and civic organizations to get involved in shaping the future of our youth. Whether through volunteering, sponsoring, or enrolling a youth participant, there are numerous ways to contribute to the success of this initiative.

We encourage everyone to attend the open house and learn how this program will make a lasting impact on the youth of Allen.
