Let's dive into some cheesy history! 🧀🍯🍇

Pecorino cheese has a rich history, starting as a Roman favorite. In 1884, a ban on salting cheeses and high salt taxes moved production to Sardinia, where it flourished until after WWII.

Post-war, many Sardinians moved to Tuscany, bringing their sheep and cheese-making skills. Today, Tuscany is known for producing some of the best pecorino cheese in Italy. 🤩

Pecorino is a star in many Tuscan dishes and a fantastic appetizer at weddings, delicious with honey, jam, fruit, and nuts. 🍯🥜🍇

GROOMS FAVOURITE - CARS!😅

If you have moaned at your husband-to-be for not getting involved in the planning of your wedding, this will definitely be the time that he will prove you wrong. 🤞🏻

Bear in mind that the bridal car will appear in many of your photos, so an old banger won’t do! 🫣

However, you do not need to hire a Lamborghini or a Ferrari to have a stylish entrance. A modern Mercedes or Alfa Romeo would just do the trick! 🛞

If you want to go for a truly Italian touch then better to go for an Alfa Romeo or even a Lancia – a totally unknown Italian car manufacturer in the UK, but extremely popular in Italy.
Your fiancé will probably be thrilled to have discovered something new in terms of cars! 😉

Modern cars such as Merc, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia will be easier to source and prices will be more reasonable than say vintage cars which are rather expensive in Italy. 🤑

So you have no excuses for not making a real entrance on your very special day! 🤩

EVERYBODY LOVES CAKE🍰

Cake comes at the very end like a special VIP guest that has to make an important entrance in the scene of your wedding.

In Tuscany the queen of wedding cake is called Millefoglie.

This consists of layers of puff pastry filled with fresh vanilla cream (or chocolate) covered with either cream or caster sugar or cocoa powder...

The variation are endless..
the end result is an exquisite,
luscious mouthful of pure heaven.

When planning a wedding I’m sure the first things that come to mind are:

One of my favourite venues has to be:
📍San Galgano Roofless Abbey 🤩

This is a magical place with a special energy! ✨ This once church has now become a museum where you can celebrate legally binding weddings. 💍
It’s a must visit place if in Tuscany!

Isolated in the most remote unspoilt Tuscan Countryside surrounded by wonderful sunflower and wheat fields. 🌻

The architecture of the place is amazing, photos though beautiful cannot do this venue justice, it’s a whole experience in itself!

Saying yes to the person you love there is something that will stay in your heart forever.❤️

We just want to say a big thank you for everything you did for us building up to and on the day itself.

Everything went so smoothly at a time when we should probably been really stressed but instead, we just had an amazing day and an amazing week in an amazing place.

The Abbey was perfect, the harpist was great, the chap that married us was so friendly when he had no reason to be to strangers from another country, he wasn’t in a hurry, waited for the music to end, and the sun was in the right place.

Chuisdino was a beautiful town and it makes us laugh to think that big photos of our faces on passport pages will be in their filing cabinets for years to come!

The wedding cake was absolutely amazing, thank you for suggesting that, everyone loved that it was so tasty. We cleared a dance floor upstairs after the meal and everyone danced the night away, after the older folk went to bed after midnight some time and we continued until daylight! The Villa was perfect, Franco was an absolute star, he couldn’t do enough to help. It was all absolutely perfect so thank you for making that all happen on the Italian side for us.

📍VILLA GAMBASSI

Located between Florence, Pisa, and Siena, this ancient hamlet is steeped in history and surrounded by beautiful countryside with several acres of oak forests as well as two private lakes, one of which is populated by swans.

Originally built in the 1600’s, the property changed ownership several times over the subsequent centuries.

In 1998 the current owners began a thorough renovation, bringing the property back to its original architectural splendor while upgrading it to the highest level of comfort.

At Villa Gambassi, you can organize small to medium size weddings and can accommodate from 16 to 120 people.

Vast yet intimate, Villa Gambassi is a magnificent setting to get married in Tuscany.
This is one of the few venues where you can have a legally binding ceremony onsite.

From calming your nerves, to fetching your glass of fizz to helping you lift your dress while you do the toilet (yes we we did go there) but what are maids for?!? 👯‍♀️🤣😜

Having special people at your side cheering you on, who has probably seen you through all stages of life and relationships… there is no better calling.

Please don’t worry about the weather 🌧️☀️🌈 Weather is something we cannot control, we can predict but sometimes even that is wrong so I always say please don’t worry about the weather, the main goal can still be achieved come rain or shine! 💍✨ On this beautiful wedding day a gift came directly from the sky… 🌈🌈🌈 Rain threatened with clouds all day but we resisted having the ceremony inside which would have spoilt the atmosphere. We held on and we were blessed with a sunny ceremony and an incredible all round rainbow 🌈 just as the newly weds walked into the reception room full of cheering guests!
