We would like to say a very big THANK YOU to all who attended Dad's funeral yesterday - a special Thank You to Tracey Matthews who delivered an amazing service at Bramcote, also to Joanne and staff at Gillotts, and finally to Claire and staff at The Royal Oak Watnall. We certainly gave Dad the best send off and he would have been proud of us all.

Four years ago today my dad opted out of life with an overdose. Although I'd never led a service before I wanted to do the last thing I could for him and became his "celebrant" at his funeral a few weeks later, it was the most difficult thing I've had to do, but I did it. Dad had left me a note saying "Do something with your life, I love you "mi duck". So from selling specs in a shop I went on a course to get training to become a celebrant. Four years later I have to say it was the worst and best time of my life, if you know what I mean. I have so much to thank my dad for xx
