On Dec 11 my Dad took a bad fall in a a local parking lot. That evening he was treated for a brain bleed and facial fractures and spent a couple days in the ICU.

He came home Wednesday night to see us say goodbye to his grandson for the last time on Thursday before Jonah left💔.

On Christmas Day my Dad started acting off and he continued to behave oddly and we could tell something was wrong but weren’t getting answers. We took him for a follow up CT scan today and were sent directly to the ER. This evening he had a surgery on his brain to drain the swelling. He’s back in the ICU and dr said doing well all things considered.

This little sister has had a hard time since losing her brother last week. I didn’t know a three year old could be depressed but she’s been sullen, sleeping a lot, judging wanting to snuggle. She sings quietly songs of his name and tells me often she misses her brother Jonah and he misses his family and playing with his Sophie. Oh sweet girl. We are all broken, she doesn’t remember life before the 13months with us and doesn’t understand truly where he is now. But we will keep explaining it as best we can and loving you, and remembering him and the time he blessed our lives.
