Itโs been a while since we did an intro, and weโve had a lot of new faces over the last few months so thought it was about time to explain who we are, and what our movement is about!
NotYourBabe is a platform to empower, inspire and connect women in the creative sectors on a global scale.
It is our mission to empower 1M women to carve their own path, own their power, and join in a beautiful sisterhood.
We started out as networking events to connect female creatives, and business owners. Honestly, we didnโt know where weโd end up! Our founder @by_katielee is a full-time artist, and felt there just wasnโt a safe space out there for women in this sector to empower, inspire and connect with each other.
Every networking event she went to was heavily male- yet there was so many incredible female creatives that sheโd seen and wanted to connect with. Where were they all hiding?!
Weโve come a long way since our glitter filled brunches, and it still blows our mind every day how many powerful women weโve met through this movement.
Some burn their bras, protest in the streets and tie themselves to railings. We revolt with a glass of Prosecco in one hand, a face full of glitter and an army of bad bitches behind us.
We started as โBoss Babes Brunchโ nearly two years ago now in June 2019, and rebranded to โNot Your Babeโ at the end of August 2020.
Since then weโve started a podcast, held an all-female virtual festival, created a community of 3k on here, featured on BBC Radio Merseyside and connected with more incredible and inspiring women than we could ever imagine.
Weโve come such a long way since that first brunch, and it really is just the beginning.
We will not stop fighting for women to BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES, to chase their dreams and to step into their INCREDIBLE POWER.

From posting this idea and call out for performers one month ago (yes we are in shock too) , to actually being able to pull off a FULL WEEKEND of live performances and classes from all female headlines is honestly a bit insane.
Weโve been overwhelmed by the support weโve received right from the start,and we hope this is the start of many an incredible festival to come.
There arenโt really the words to describe what weโve managed to achieve this weekend, and how BLOODY PROUD we are of all the INCREDIBLE talents involved ๐ญ๐
