The experiment was conducted at the Chinese branch of the global travel services conglomerate Trip.com. Part of the employee sample was given the opportunity to work from home two days per week, while the remaining half continued with daily in-office attendance.

📍 The study, led by Nicholas Bloom, indicates that employees who work from home two days per week are as productive and as likely to be promoted as their fully office-based colleagues. Hybrid work showed no impact on work performance or career growth while significantly boosting retention rates. Resignations among hybrid workers dropped by 35%, while productivity and promotion opportunities remained comparable to those of full-time office workers.

Additionally, employee morale rose considerably, further benefiting the company. 💪
