It all looks like so much fun, the animals are so cute, you are living my dream life, it's got to be so easy getting to love on animals everyday, I'm jealous, etc.... these are all phrases I hear when people look at our page or come to visit. Here's the harsh, raw reality of farm life. This is the face of someone having a goat go down and begging him with everything in you to please just eat, drink, stand, just live. Praying to God not to let him die. This is what happens behind closed doors that nobody sees or talks about. This is reality. It never gets easier, we just try with all we have to save them, pick ourselves up, wipe the tears, and keep going for the sake of the others. It's not easy, it's hard, it's harsh; death and illness do not discriminate. Sorry for the terrible picture, but this is the truth of farming.
