🍻 Meet Chris Yates – The Man Behind Y8S TAPS
Chris is Texas born and raised, growing up in Denton, TX, where he lived until heading off to college in 2001. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree that perfectly matches his two passions — numbers and beer!
Ironically, Chris didn’t love beer at first (he was more of a sweet umbrella drink guy), but over time his palate evolved, and now he enjoys exploring all types of beer — from crisp lagers to bold stouts.
Chris and his wife Nikole were married in August 2007 and are proud parents of two boys, H & H. They love traveling, live music, and spending time outdoors — though most weekends you’ll probably find them cheering from the sidelines at their kids’ sporting events.
A few years back, when a mobile bar called Bubble Bus Co. rolled through their neighborhood, inspiration struck! Chris decided to create Y8S TAPS — a mobile beer fridge that brings the party to you.
In early 2022, he brought that vision to life with a custom-built 18-foot trailer, fully equipped with an eight-tap kegerator and a three-door bar fridge. Each tap has its own regulator, ensuring the perfect pour every time, no matter what’s on tap.
Today, Y8S TAPS proudly serves private parties, festivals, tailgates, trade shows, and more — delivering ice-cold beverages and good vibes wherever the road takes them.
