WINTER UPDATE ❄️ 🏊♂️
This winter we are very excited to be supporting Kyle's Dad, Grant Austin, who is currently taking on an epic swimming challenge known as the Ice Mile. In order to achieve this you must swim 1 mile (1.6km) in water temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius! The big challenge is completing the swim whilst entering hypothermia due to swimming in such cold water for a significant length of time.
Grant has been training since the end of last winter, swimming many laps here in the mountains at our local pools and also Wentworth Falls Lake. He's also been doing ice bath sessions in his new ice bath at home also and swimming down the road at Minnehaha Falls.
Over the weekend, on Saturday, 6th July, Grant completed his qualifying swim at Wentworth Falls Lake. We were part of the support crew, along with other family members and friends. The water was officially recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius, despite likely being lower, so Grant needed to swim 2.5km to qualify, which he successfully completed in just over an hour! If the water was 7.9 degrees or less he would have only had to swim 1.5km.
We are incredibly proud of Grant and look forward to supporting him in the final challenge, which will happen next month. Please join us in encouraging Grant on this epic journey!

With the predictions of high rainfall across the day the couple decided to switch to our gorgeous heritage-style indoor back up venue that we have recently partnered with. Surrounded by 30 of their closest people, along with their two furry best friends, the intimate setting added a special charm to their unforgettable day.

WEEKLY WRAP UP - Amidst the tranquil backdrop of the Blue Mountains, we had the honor of witnessing the intimate union of Dhivesh & Viviana. Their love story started from a dating app seven years ago, leading to their first date at a local coffee shop. Viviana wore gym gear, thinking that the date would only be quick and Dhivesh arrived looking dapper in formal wear and they both found themselves lost in conversation for seven unforgettable hours! Now this past weekend, their journey together has taken a momentous next step as they exchanged vows in a private elopement ceremony, surrounded by their closest loved ones and the breathtaking beauty of nature. 🤍
