Hello everyone and Happy New Year!!

We are offering a new and affordable experience to anyone planning to have a wedding, reception or any type of special event!!

Central Weddings and Events is located within
Central Presbyterian Church, in historic midtown Mobile, AL at 1260 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36604.

This beautiful venue is available for a variety of events including weddings, reunions, receptions, Mardi Gras events, Corporate functions and meetings as well as all private parties. The building is perfect for any type of event and the large Bellingrath Hall you will be enjoying, was actually built and given to the church by Walter and Bessie Morse Bellingrath when they were members of the church before they designed and built the world-famous, Bellingrath Gardens.

Central's beautiful, sanctuary seats up to 750 people for your wedding, however, if you prefer, there are other areas in the building where you can have your wedding ceremony.

You can also just rent the sanctuary for the wedding and have the reception elsewhere.

The reception area provides abundant space for virtually any function. However, Central not only allows for large events, but can be easily reconfigured to accommodate more intimate gatherings.

All Central events are held in our climate-controlled, beautiful interior, so there is no need to worry about inclement weather, thus eliminating the stress of worrying about weather conditions on your special day. You also save the expense of renting tents because they are not used or necessary at Central, which is another large savings, plus we have tables, chairs and black and off-white linens you may use, rent-free.

There is also ample free parking for your guests.

Central is a truly, one-of-a-kind setting for any event.

In addition to tables, chairs and linens being included with the rental of the building, wedding consulting and planning is also included at no extra charge, from a licensed event planner. We not only offer free event planning, but also, you do not need to hire anyone to run your rehearsal or for day-of services, because we offer that service at no extra charge also.

You save hundreds of dollars because you do not need to rent anything if you book at Central. You are in good hands at Central.

RENTAL FEES FOR CENTRAL WEDDINGS and EVENTS
(you have 10 hours at the venue on your special day)

When you book your date, the deposit is one-half the rent. The balance of rent and your staffing fees (itemized below) are due two weeks before your event, when we meet with you for your final planning meeting.

We offer a beautiful Bride's Room as well as a Room for the Groom.

ALCOHOL INFORMATION FOR YOUR EVENT:
You may bring your own alcohol, however, it is required that you hire at least one licensed server behind the bar to serve your guests. The formula for the number of servers you will need is 1 server per every 75 guests. Documentation for the licensed server(s) you have hired is required to be in your file at our final planning meeting which is held two weeks before your event.

MUSIC: You may bring your own DJ or band. It is not necessary to rent a dance floor at Central.

CATERING:
You may bring in any caterer of your choice, but they must be licensed and approved by the Health Department. We will give you a copy of our Catering Guidelines to give your caterer when you hire them. They will read and initial each page. We will keep a copy and give one to your caterer.

At Central Weddings and Events, we offer a beautiful sanctuary for weddings, plus Bellingrath Hall for the Reception. If you prefer to not use the sanctuary, we have other space for your wedding ceremony, or you can choose to only have your reception at Central. You can take the stress out of your planning because there are no weather worries - everything is under the same roof with room for up to 750 guests, you can dress and relax before your wedding in our bride's room overlooking a garden, which is also a beautiful area for pictures, you receive free event planning and day-of services, and at Central, the fees are affordable. We do all the work and you enjoy YOUR day!!
