Community Feast giveaway happening now at MoCreebec HBHC building!!! While quantities last

September 10th is Su***de Awareness Day. We started with a community walk wearing yellow T-shirt’s, followed by a presentation from Brittany Biedermann who was so courageous in sharing her heart-felt story of how su***de has impacted her life to help spread awareness. She is an amazing, hard working and caring individual with a big heart and we are thankful she shared with those in attendance and on livestream. Great job Brittany!! ❤️.
The presentation was followed by a chilli and bannock lunch provided by the healing centre. Massage Therapy sessions were also done by Debbie Nesrallah throughout the day. And the evening capped off with a mini baseball game with various staff and youth in the community that ended in a 5-5 tie. Good job everybody!!!

Saturdays powwow has been postponed due to expected rain tomorrow. A new date will be announced later.

The Community Feast “Potluck Style” Food Giveaway will take place at MoCreebec HBHC building at 4pm. Goose, potatoes, and veggies will be on the menu. Any food/dessert donations can be dropped off at HBHC building by 3pm and will be added to the trays. So come share your favourite dish!!!

Yesterday we had the Family Treasure Hunt. It was nice to get families out to participate even in the pouring rain. ☺️ There were clues hidden at various locations around the island. Teams had to figure out the clue to get to the next location. There was also a list of challenges for bonus points.

The results are:
1st place The Bears: 1200 pts
2nd place The S-Dubs: 1140 pts
3rd place Shimminators: 1050 pts
Cheechoo/Echums: 1020 pts
Blue Jays: 960 pts
Unicorns: 840 pts
Trickards: 810 pts
Team Izzy: 750 pts
N, C, X: 750 pts
The Kap Kids: 550 pts
Sussybaka: 330 pts
Shark Team: 300 pts

We will be lighting the Sacred Fire soon. It will be lit for 4 days & nights in the tee p*e at Wally's Village. (By ecolodge)
