Who's ready for the end of classes? 🙋‍♀️

For our next social on THURSDAY 2nd May we will be having an end of year party at the Sneyd Arms! The social will be starting from 6pm and will be a chance to relax with the society.

We can't wait to see you all there!

We hope you enjoyed the Who&A night as much as we did! This week's social will be from 6pm on THURSDAY 25th for another Classic Who Screening night at the Sneyd Arms!

We will be watching the Third Doctor story 'The Daemons', a favourite of our President!

As always, all are welcome, whether members, who fans or simply interested in seeing what it's all about - the more the merrier!

Hi all! We hope you've had a brilliant Easter and had the chance to rest occasionally.

We're jumping right back into the last little bit of the semester with a new social!

On Thursday (18th April) we will be having a Q&A social with the one and only Paul Marc Davis! The social will be from 7pm in the lecture room OPPOSITE Westminster Theatre.

We can't wait to see you all there!

Hi all! We hope you're all getting prepared to battle for the glory of Sontar tonight!

We just wanted to give you all a little extra time to prepare for next week's social - costumes in the KPA! Come dressed as your favourite Doctor Who character if you want to! Of course, costumes are optional and it is just for a little bit of fun, so please don't feel like you have to go all out or spend tons of money on a new costume!

Committee members who are planning on wearing costumes are planning to use their own wardrobe to orchestrate their costumes.

We will be in the upstairs of the KPA from 6pm next Thursday (21st March) for a fun and relaxed evening of Who and (optional) costumes!

Hi all! We hope you're as excited about tomorrow's screening social as we are!

We just wanted to let you all know ahead of time what next week's social will be, so you all have time to plan ahead if you want to join us for it! We will be playing laser quest next Thursday (14th) in the laser quest in Newcastle-under-Lyme!

It's a super-fun night that has gone down well in the past so please do come along and bring your friends! Remember that if you bring your Keele Card with you as student ID there is a discount!

This week's social will be another Screening Night at the Sneyd Arms! We will be watching a ton of episodes, as usual, on Thursday evening, so please do come along for a little break from uni to relive some amazing stories!

Hey all! We hope you enjoyed the quiz last week, we certainly had a lot of fun creating it.

This week's social is a games week with a twist! Every year, each society is required to hold an AGM - an annual general meeting - to update their members on what goes on behind the scenes and what's coming up. We've decided to combine this with a social full of boardgames and jackbox to make the whole experience more fun.

Please do come along to enjoy the games and have your say in our little society if you're free, it wouldn't be Who Soc without you!

This is to let you all know that our next social is A WEEK TODAY, on SATURDAY 17th February.

We will be doing a cake crawl in the town centre from 1pm, meeting by the old wilkos outside the bus station before heading around town in search of sweet treats!

We will be providing the bingo cards and the episodes and, as always, people are more than welcome to eat at the Sneyd Arms during the social! Please remember to bring a pen with you if you wish to take part.

Hi all! We hope you enjoyed board games and Jackbox on Thursday!

This week's social is our first off campus social of the semester. We will be at Lymelight Lanes bowling this Thursday (1st Feb) from 7pm to play some bowling and have a bit of fun!

Lymelight Lanes is based nearby to the Vue cinema in Newcastle-under-Lyme. On the post is a map from the bus station to the lanes. Someone from committee will be travelling from campus to reach the social, so feel free to ask more details in the group chat about traveling there together!

Thank you to everyone who came to laser quest on Thursday night! It was an amazing social!

This week, our social is back in our usual room of CBA1.098 from 6:30pm and we'll have a return of the board games! We have each of the games pictured here (or, a version of them, in the case of the monopoly!), as well as a few other bits and pieces like Jackbox and Who Trivial Pursuit cards!

Please also feel free to bring along your own games/devices to game on during the social, as we are aware that each of the games only have so many players available!

What an amazing turnout to Classic Who Screening last Thursday!

Our next social will be on Thursday 9th November from 7PM, for our laser quest night, which committee are very excited for!

We will be meeting at the laser quest based in Newcastle-under-Lyme at 7pm and will try to fit as many games into the night as possible!

We have shared the route from the bus station to the laser quest on the post. It is based in the Lymelight Boulevard, where the Vue cinema is also based.

Please remember to wear comfortable shoes that you can move about easily in!

What an amazing turnout to our Quiz Night last night! And well done to team 'LINDA' on their amazing score!

If you were unfortunately unable to make the quiz, fret not! We will be holding another later in the semester!

Our next social will be on Thursday 26th October from 6:30PM, and is our Zygon Investigation social, which committee are very excited for! This one has been a long time in the planning, so we are SUPER excited for you all to take part!

It is a scavenger hunt-style social, and committee will be based in CBA1.098 for the evening, which is where the social will be starting! It is important to come to the start of the social to form your teams and take part in this social so that you can win more prizes!

We can't wait to see you all there and tell you more about this exciting social!

Sorry, for the late post, but here's all the information you'll need to know about this week's social! We will be back in CBA1.098 for our first quiz of the year!

Bring friends and other fans along to make teams or come alone to join someone else's team! We will be asking a wide range of questions of varying topics, so there should be a round to suit everyone!

The quiz will be starting soon after the social starts, so please arrive promptly at 6:30 to make sure you have plenty of time to get your teams organised!

We have a range of Who-related prizes to choose from for the winners so bring your competitive streaks! But please remember: what you know may not always be what someone else knows!

Here are the key responsibilites for the role of secretary in our society, ready for nomination to open TOMORROW, after an adjustment made at the end of last week by the SU.

The secretary takes minutes during committee meetings and prepares agendas for the following meeting based on these notes. They assist the Social Media Rep with sending out emails and posts, so need to be able to write creatively and get their ideas across easily. They also organise room and/or equipment bookings for society socials/events/stalls.

Nominations open for the By-Election on the SU site tomorrow (10/10/2023) morning at 9am and remain open until next MONDAY (17/10/2023).

Please make sure you have submitted a picture and manifesto on your nomination before next Monday so that they appear when voting opens!

We are holding a By-Election for the role of Secretary in our society!

By-Elections are elections during the academic year, to strengthen the current committee and ensure that we can continue to provide you with amazing socials!

Any student member of the society is eligible to both nominate themself for a role and vote for who they would like to see in the role! The process is similar to the general elections at the end of semester 2, so they will help you to know what to do when they come around!

Nominations for the role will open at 9am on Monday 9th October and they will be open until 16th October! We will provide more information on how to nominate yourself on the discord server, so make sure you have joined to learn more about how you can get involved in the Who Soc committee!

Okay, so we know that we still have the cake crawl to go this week, but we just couldn't wait any longer to tell you guys that our first Screening of the year is next week!

The social will be back on our usual time of a Thursday evening, but in a brand new location of the Sneyd Arms in Keele! They are very kindly allowing us use of their Knights Templar function room for our Screenings! There will be food and drinks accessible at the bar, though we want to stress that there is absolutely NO pressure to drink at our socials! We just want everyone to be able to come along, watch a few episodes with us, and chat about them!

Now here's the best part, thanks to the Sneyd Arms, we are able to continue offering this social ENTIRELY FREE for you all! So please do make sure you come on down at 6pm for OODles of fun!

We will be posting a video during the week to ensure everyone knows how to get to the social, so please do keep an eye on here and our facebook and discord!
