The last of the dahlias will be packed away by the end of the week. The flower season in Minnesota is so brief, it's a blur. It's hard to believe in just a few short months we can grow this kind of beauty.
Luckily, I have 8 million photos and videos of the 2024 flower season to look back on. 🤣 It was better than ever, and I still can't believe it!
Thank you to EVERYONE who bought my flowers, attended my events, came to visit the flower stand, shared or liked my posts, and told your friends about my flowers. I truly appreciate each of you so much!

It's pumpkin season!!
These were a few of last year's stunning seasonally-inspired pumpkin arrangements. They are always my favorite creations of the year.
Message me to pre-order yours!
We are OPEN!! 24129 County Rd 19, Merrifield MN.
Meet our Dahlias! This is Miss Amara.
Since I started flower farming, there's yet to be a dahlia that has replaced her as the favorite.
Creamy yellow with raspberry undertones, her color changes as the season progresses. By frost she will be nearly all yellow. If you don't grow her, you need to!

Last minute post! The Little Red Barn Farmstand will be out tomorrow 8/28 with some beautiful bouquets! 24129 County Rd 19, Merrifield MN
We will have our wrapped mixed flower bouquets, plus a new option! These "Joy in a Jar" arrangements come in a easy- to- carry bag. A bit larger than our wrapped bouquets, these are perfect to bring to work and enjoy them at your desk, or to surprise a friend with!
Hi everyone! I was hoping to get the farmstand out this week, but this heat is not the best place to leave flowers outside! I want flowers you get from me to be as fresh as possible!
That said, I have flowers!!! The sunflowers are going crazy, as are the zinnias. AND, a bouquet purchased this week will have a dahlia or 2 in it! Please message me if you'd like a bit of sunshine in your home or office this week, and I'll make you up something special! We will work out the details of how to get them to you!
Lisianthus. So romantic and dreamy.
Lissies are the most expensive flower I grow. Notoriously hard to grow, I buy plugs (started seedlings) instead of growing them myself from seeds.
Not only are they beautiful, they have incredible vaselife. They've just started blooming. Look for them in bouquets in the upcoming weeks!
Would you like to save your zinnia seeds for next year? It's very easy, and fun to see what grows next year!
You can wait until the zinnia complete dries up, then gently pull apart the flower. The petals will fall off easily, leaving the seeds behind. Or..
You can do as I'm showing in the video. Choose your zinnia, it should be a mature flower, but doesn't have to be completely dry.
Gently tug on a couple of petals, the green seed is on the end of each petal. Now dry these in your house, I just lay mine on a paper towel but you also can put them in a paper bag to dry. Once they dry the petals will easily be separated from the seed. Store in a cool dry place, and plant them in the spring!
If you were at Blooms & Brews last week @jackpinebrewery , you saw these incredible cupcakes! 🧁🧁🧁
I hired Sierra Ramsdell to make them. Sierra is an extremely talented high-school student (and flower lover). Message her if you are in the Brainerd Lakes Area and you need baked goods for your event!

If you need me, I'll be in the zinnia rows!
