We often hear leaders talk about a "defining" moment that jumpstarted their career. But, what about those moments along the way that simply HIGHLIGHT your journey to success? We should not take those important milestones for granted as they continue to edify us. I was reminded of that when I stored my Taste of Marietta 2026 - Chef Stage plate recently. It represents an invitation [by an industry titan] to exercise my abilities to lead by example, engage, share knowledge and offer attendees an opportunity to experience familiar things in nuanced ways.
Don't discount the lessons that you have learned on your journey. You may consider it business as usual but others will see it as a way for you to transform the world around you. I am grateful to Chef Raul Thomas, whose family owns the prominent landmark Marietta’s New Theatre in the Square, the site where the chef's stage is located, and who sees our brotherhood as a shared responsibility to excellence and quality leadership.
