Today was spent photographing my lovely products, the photography gift card, and my holiday book! And then hours of setting up my shop, which was no easy feat! OMG, I think they look beautiful (photos, and my website) and I’m very excited these products are ready to order for the holidays! I will post more about my book tomorrow, but today my gift cards get the spotlight! 🔦❤️

Little blast from the past, pumpkin patch photo of my niece, the little unicorn, and a couple of my kiddos from when they were littles. Pumpkin patch photos are some of my most cherished. Picking out a pumpkin has always been a fun photo opportunity! And Haloween in general. For me, it is such a fun time of year! I love the costumes, candy, spooky decorations and scary movies!! Way to have a HAPPY Monday! Photo shoot at Baker Beach (see last photo), then did a little scouting at the Tunnel Top park in SF (stopped for a Crissy view on the way) then hit Chestnut St - went to to trade in a couple of old camera bodies. All before noon! Literally the best way to kick off a new week! ❤️📸

Sometimes I get lucky and am asked to document a very secret and special occasion like this proposal. I do get a little nervous before these kinds of sessions….i worry about a lot, like my camera breaking, missing big moments, picking the right lens, etc…there are no do-overs for proposals or weddings, so it’s really important to map out a plan beforehand, make sure camera settings are appropriate, scout the location and make sure all gear is clean and batteries are full. It might seem easy to “just” take some photos but it’s not. Even as a seasoned photographer with 15 years of experience under my belt, I am praying I do a great job, and that everything flows smoothly! The gods answered my prayers, as they usually do! Woohoo! 💍❤️

New beginnings are worth celebrating, and the milestone or huge steps forward in life should be documented, ideally by a professional…IMHO. There is a giant difference between capturing a moment on an iPhone vs hiring someone with skills, knowledge of light and the right photo gear. I was very impressed by this young man who planned this beautiful surprise proposal. His fiancé is a very lucky lady…and it was an “immediate” yes!!! With lots of tears of joy! 🥂😅🥰

If your senior is still in need of a photo session that shows their personality and is more tailored to what they want, & something different than what the school photographer was able to provide, then I’d be happy to create some amazing images for your senior! Senior portraits taken by the high school photographer are usually for one purpose, and that’s for a good yearbook photo. That’s great, but most families and seniors want more than that. More looks, more personality to and and the ability to tie in a college banner or sweatshirt, because this is a BIG time of transition. Why not capture it, create some beautiful memories of this special time!? I looooove photographing families!! And since I’m a mom of two teens I’m very comfortable working with babies and kids of all ages. And I get how stressful it can be as a parent when all you want is for your photo session to go smoothly and for your kids to be on their best behavior. You only have that one hour in front of the camera so it can cause parents to worry! I’ve been working with families for 15 years, and I have learned a lot from my families and from my own kids! I can’t wait to share my wisdom this month in a new YouTube Video and blog post, and I’m hoping both will be very helpful at calming photo day nerves! So stay tuned for my secrets to relaxed and fun photo sessions with your family!
