A little throwback to some pumpkin double exposure magic from a couple years ago! I had so much fun experimenting with my digital camera, layering pumpkins with images of plants from my yard and little details from around my home.

I love how photography lets me turn simple everyday things into something a little unexpected — a mix of cozy, spooky, and artful all at once.

A little color, a little love, and a whole lot of heart. ❤️🌈

This family brought the sweetest quilted blanket for their session — full of color, personality, and love — and we just happened to find a tree with a heart carved right into it. (The universe showing off a little, I think.)

For every mom, dad, teacher, and friend who loves a kid who learns a little differently — this one’s for you.

I recently learned that our federal government has laid off much of the Special Education department — the very people who help protect and support kids with learning differences across the U.S.

As a mom of kids who needed these services — and as someone diagnosed with ADHD later in life — this hits close to home. These programs are not “extras.” They’re what make learning possible for so many families.

I’ve spent my life working with kids and families — photographing them, celebrating them, cheering them on. And I can’t stay quiet about this. It’s highly concerning to see us losing support for the very kids who need it most.

If you care about this too, please take a moment today to call your representatives. Tell them you support keeping these services strong and available for every child who needs them.

Here’s a simple script you can use when you call:

As a parent and community member, I’ve seen how vital these programs are. They aren’t extras — they change lives. Please make it a priority to restore these services and protect the funding that helps our kids learn and thrive. Thank you.”

Let’s stand up for our kids — and make sure every child has the chance to be seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are. 💛

I was heading home today from a client photo shoot at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay when I spotted the cutest little pumpkin patch and just had to pull over. 🍂📸 This year I’m skipping the grocery store pumpkins — there’s something so special about picking them straight from the patch, supporting a small farm, and soaking in that cozy fall magic. 🎃

Fall will always have my heart — the light, the colors, the cozy sweaters, and of course… Halloween! 🧡✨
