In honor, gratitude and remembrance for all Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom. Freedom has never been free. Photo is of the American cemetery at Normandy where over 9000 American soldiers are buried. Lest we forget.

Chandler and Christian’s beautiful wedding at the Stamford Yacht Club! What a day that was! A hurricane was off the shore and the rain torrential. After the ceremony at St. Lukas’s Church in Darien, the rain stopped and a magical atmosphere after the storm appeared. Very beautiful and most definitely a sign of good luck. We loved working with this family and it was our joy to find fresh edelweiss flowers for Chandler’s bouquet and her father’s boutonnière. The edelweiss flower held great symbolism and emotional importance for Chandler’s father. I will be writing about this flower and experience for a blog. The Art of Love in Flowers.

Creating The Art of Love in Flowers for Kaitlin’s beautiful bridal shower in a private home. Each room told a different flower story by changing vessels and adjusting floral material. The result was stunning!

It was my honor to provide beautiful floral design for The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Bridgeport, CT. The parish was celebrating its 110 year anniversary with the Arch Bishop of North America. Every flower chosen for this event had spiritual significance and I will be writing about this at a later date. The most important flower though was the iris. The church walls are adorned with painted stylized iris which symbolizes the holy trinity due to its 3 spear like petals. Mother Mary is exalted in the Greek Orthodox religion and she was honored with white roses and spray carnations. Spending time in this beautiful church was a return home for me. This is my ancestry. The Art of Love in Flowers could not be more appropriate for this event.

One of the most beautiful weddings with the most luxurious flowers, 2 years ago today! This beautiful couple had been impressed and moved by the flowers in South Africa when on a vacation, and wanted to incorporate proteas as well as seasonal dahlias in their celebration. It was a wild windy day in June but somehow we created the Art of Love in Flowers for this beautiful English garden wedding. The farm tables were adorned with an abundance of bud vases using seasonal flowers, herbs and eucalyptus. The outcome was a stunning display of eclectic vessels and varying heights and shapes of flowers.
