Late for the season 🥴, but seeds are getting planted!! Some replanting of failed seeds, and some starting new. If even half of what I’m dreaming of happens, there will certainly be exciting things ahead…. 🤩

With the changes to the garden area, we had to take down our rhubarb in a hurry (don’t worry, we saved some crowns for transplant and already have them in ground again).

Despite the unexpected cold snap last month, the rhubarb was already growing prolifically! So, we harvested over 60 lbs of rhubarb and have been working to process it all as quickly as possible. It’s been an all hands on deck project and I’m grateful for family and friends that jump in on my crazy, offering help and morale as I keep working forward on my farm and garden adventure!

Looking forward to the yummy recipes of rhubarb goodness to come! We’ve got plans…

With most of our homeschool year behind us… all attention is turning to the farm. I have plans to grow ALL the things, so the garden had to grow along with my dreams.

Yesterday the area was expanded and leveled out. Next up is bringing in soil, marking paths, and getting what we can in the ground. It’s gonna be an adventure for sure!! And I’m here for it. 🌱 We’ll just see how my family survives my crazy plans… 😂

Newest members of our farm family!! (8 healthy kittens, in fact). Our farm is growing. ❤️

April is a busy month for our homeschool, and on the farm it’s getting busier too! New chicks hatched for our neighbors today, and kittens are imminent. Love spring!! 🌱

Beauty in the greenhouse as I watch my baby seedlings begin to surface. So much joy!! 🌱

Excited to see our first seedlings 🌱 starting to appear (onions, alyssum, and amazingly some marshmallow too)!!

Some of our fruit trees were able to get a much needed haircut (or as much of one as I could tackle mostly on my own today anyway).

Goat stalls were mucked and plenty of barn chores were done around other projects.

It’s been a good and productive day at the farm.

Spring has sprung on the farm with surprise chicks! Sunset is being a good mama hen, and we are excited for the new fluff balls of cheeping cuteness.
