With a sad heart my beautiful barn is getting handed over. I will be closing the doors and handing the keys over to a lovely couple that will be starting a local church. The past few years have come with its challenges, but the love that built this is timeless. Who knows what can happen in the future.. thank you all for following this journey and to all the beautiful couples that said I do. Loved meeting you all and help create your perfect day! Lots of love, I hope to see you all again real soon xx

3 years ago I walked down the isle at the she said yes barn, all our labour of love had come together and the day was our perfect ❤️ Reflecting back I feel so blessed to have had my Dad with me, to have that father daughter dance, at that moment my life was complete. Everyone was there that I loved, we had a life before covid, and so much to look forward too. Life dealt us some blows, as to many I’m sure, we lost our beloved Dad, but these memories are my heart, and I am forever thankful to of had him there with me. Family is everything, and for that I am truly blessed. Always and forever I will love you ❤️

Wedding planning and Creating.. this is me 👋🏼 I had a vision and loved every part of putting it all together. I remember walking up the isle with glue gun burns on my hands, but was so proud of the efforts we had all put in to turn the barn into the most romantic wedding venue 💐💍

Everyone wants to know, who said yes?!

In the 90s there was a tv series called Jacksons wharf, filmed locally around the Hibiscus Coast and surroundings...
As a prop the barn was used for a wedding proposal in one of the episodes.

In the years after, the barn was worked as a sheep shearing shed, and remained Iconic with all the locals.
My partners parents went on to purchase the property in 2016, I was thrilled to look around the barn and hold onto such a beautiful barn that in younger years I had always admired.

Nick and I became engaged, and were planning a wedding overseas, I kept dreaming of a barn wedding, where all my rustic love could be put to use. But there was a lot of work to do.
I talked my future husband into having our wedding at the family farm, even thou he preferred the warm Island sun, carefree wedding planning and no DIY! (True love right there.. right?!)

The barn had been abandoned, it was dirt floors, dark and rundown, a full sheep shearing barn, gates and ramps. As you can imagine there was a lot of work to do, and we gave ourselves a year. We were determined to make it happen and we knew it would take a lot of love, blood, sweat and tears.. we were prepared.

Nick and I share the same interests, we love recycling timbers, and upcycling, we are full blown self confessed DIYers and have always been passionate, creative and hard working.

The family support was overwhelming and I am indebted to my gorgeous in laws for allowing us to do this, they truly worked just as hard and trusted in our vision and allowed us to bring it to reality. Thank you Cliff and Heather.

Our wedding was everything we dreamed, Nicks building skills, Friends that helped and made it there full time job, (Rat, you were amazing!) A love for DIY, recycling, op shops and everything rustic and beautiful came together.

We married November 2019, How blessed we were to have everyone we love come join us and celebrate. The feeling in the barn is one of love, it truly is a special place, Everyone that visits, feels it.
