We are getting soooo close! I'm waiting for a couple more payments and then I will be getting your travel documents out to you!!!!

It's important you set up your airport transfers..Just click on the link below and enter your flight information. This is very important and should be done this week. By arranging transfers you will have your transportation taken care of from the airport to resort and back on return.

Bring lots of sunscreen! The sun is blaring all day.. Don't get burned and ruin your trip. Very expensive if you buy it there!

Mosquitos come and go, but I always say be prepared! Bring a can of OFF or your favorite repellent ,if you don't need it, great but if you do you will be happy you have it! I also bring benadril because I am a mosquito magnet.

Probiotics or Immodium--You will be eating and drinking differently than you normally do and may get an upset tummy, I like to be prepared:) Also watch the amount of coconut you drink......you may need the above if you overdo it:(

If you smoke, I recommend purchasing ci******es at duty free either at your airport departing or at duty free when you land. Again, very expensive at the resort.

Anything you buy at the resort will be more much more expensive than at home!

I highly recommend bringing an insulated cup with you. The drinks in the pool and around the pool are served in small cups 🙁 Much easier and keeps your drink colder if you have an insulated cup with you.....yeti etc all work and no worries, they fill them for you!

MONEY MONEY MONEY:)
IMPORTANT: Be sure to let your bank/credit card company know you will be travelling to Punta Cana prior to leaving. If not they may block your card from being used for security reason.

The Majestic Colonial is all inclusive. Which means all your food and drinks are included. Tipping is an individual's option but most people when they see how hard the employees work and the little they are paid like to tip them.
Dollar bills go a long long way...I'm just going to give an idea of what is typical but everyone can choose to do what they feel comfortable with.
Transfer to/from resort: $5.00 for the driver
Bellboy- 1 or two dollars
Maids- 3 dollars/day
Mini bar server- depends on what you want them to leave you:)
Bartenders- again, very personal but dollars go a long way
Breakfast and Lunch-$5.00 for the servers
Dinner $10.00
Butlers- Really depends on you..We very rarely use our Butler so we would pay less than a Butler that does alot for you.....typically $50.00 for the week.
It is best to bring money from home: they have ATM's at the resort but there will be a hefty fee and they give Pesos not dollars. Many people bring 100.00 or more in 1$ 100.00 in 5$ and maybe some twenties . It is very hard to break larger bills at the resort...If you have to the bartenders usually have the most available 🙂 Again this is all up to you personally.

They have safes in every room. Please keep all valuables in your safe. We usually take the amount of $ we think we will need for the day with us and leave everything else in the safe.

There are a few things that are an up charge:
Spa Services, motorized water sports and upgraded wine are few. You can pay by cash or credit card for these.

Hope you are all packing!!! I'm going to be posting some ideas of what you will need and what to bring..Hope it helps! If you have any questions now is the time to ask:)

A float comes in handy:) They are expensive if you purchase one there...This float is great because you can pack it easily and inexpensive so you can gift it to the next guests who may need one!

What Clothes should I bring?
Don't over pack!
Your normal routine each day probably will be breakfast then beach or pool..You can wear a swimsuit with cover up to breakfast so don't pack alot of morning clothes:)
For Lunches you can also wear suits and coverups as long as they are dry..
Bring a couple (or more ) swimsuits....sometimes they will not dry overnight and there is nothing worse than trying to put on a wet bathing suit:)
Dinner is also pretty casual. The Steakhouse and Gourmet restaurants requires long pants for men along with closed toe shoes. Woman can wear sundresses, capris etc.
All other restaurants are casual, shorts etc .will be fine. If you want to dress it up people do that also:) Be comfy!
Shoes-----Woman, please take half of what you want:) flips are great during the day, sneakers also... Leave your heels at home, walking can be dangerous (take it from me, I broke my foot in three places once there). Slides work well also.
