The Vivid Skies Festival is a celebration of life, love, connectivity, as well as voluntary collaborations and exchanges. This event will be 2 plus weeks long around quartsite and the colorado river.
Our collective is a union of underground artists around the country and the world collaborating with shared vision and intentions. We see the festival circuit as the modern incarnation of an age-old sacred human tradition.
In these times the circuit is largely controlled by capital interests who have allowed profit motive to overshadow the love and light that we believe these festivals/gatherings should be intended to elevate. In our opinion, this circuit should be run by artist’s, collectively. Our group is here working towards that end, and we’re here to stay.
Recognizing the ultimate truth, “we are one”, this Festival does not require any money transaction. The majority of our human family are regularly restricted access to and outright excluded from spaces/ experiences because of money. More specifically a lack of it.
Rejecting this paradigm The Vivid Skies Festival is and will always be donation based.
However, this is not a free event.
We perceive donations as a necessary energy exchange; living from the heart center. We’re not doing this for money or getting paid. The suggested donation price is what is comfortable for you energetically, what your heart tells you to give.
Each person who joins this Festival is a collaborator; the ultimate beauty in the gathering lying where our energies come together. In our wild symphony of “one” each one is equal and everyone is free to collaborate or contribute based on comfort and ability. Our intention is to promote and elevate love, consent, movement, human connection, liberation of consciousness, radical self expression, inclusion, and understanding. Safety is a major priority to us. We recognize the inequities and ever present threat created by all forms of privilege. We share the understanding that privilege is a weapon, the only thing to do with any weapon is to set it down, passing through this world unarmed. To this point, we outwardly oppose racism, patriarchy, and all oppressive orthodoxies. These include, but are not limited to stereotypes, phobias, outdated norms, and class division, as well as all structures, systems and institutions of illegitimate power and authority.
