BURGERS'N'CARS KAPITI Friday 14th February 2025

A hot sunny evening greeted a great turnout of vehicles for the second to last event for the 24/25 summer.

Staff Choice went to the black 2006 Ford Mustang California Special owned by Michael and Murielle Campbell. They were presented with goodies from BURGERFUEL, CHEMZ and Digga Worx.

The team at BURGERFUEL Kapiti served up great food assisted by a team from BURGERFUEL Auckland.

Each event attracts new vehicles, and this month was the turn of a KOOL32 Ford Coupe from Ashburton on the way to Americana in New Plymouth.

BURGERS'N'CARS KAPITI
Friday 10 January 2025
After a less than average summer to date, that big yellow circle in the sky was shining bright and warm, for a great turnout of 100+ vehicles and plenty of onlookers. A great atmosphere with many families set up on pickup decks and picnic tables.

BURGERFUEL Staff Choice Award went to Warren Robertson's very cool 1957 Chevrolet Belair who travelled up from Petone - congratulations. Warren received goodies from BurgerFuel Kapiti and CHEMZ plus a voucher from local contracting company Digga Worx. Please support these companies who add to the success of the event.

A big thank you to Ali and his team serving out the great Burger Fuel food.

Although summer 2024/25 has hardly arrived there is only 2 more BURGERS'N'CARS KAPITI events this season as it's on during the daylight-saving months only.

Another good night with participant numbers down a little due to the weather - no rain but overcast with a strong cool wind.

Staff Choice was awarded to the purple 1932 Ford Fordor Sedan owned by Mike and Margy Campbell who were part of a contingent of cars attending from Palmerston North.

The award is made possible from the generous support of BURGER FUEL, CHEMZ and Digga Worx.

In addition, BURGER FUEL KAPITI gave complimentary Fries to all participants and a number of 2 for 1 Burger Vouchers.

The next BURGERS'N'CARS KAPITI is on BLACK FRIDAY 13th DECEMBER 2024 and there could be a few extra Christmas goodies.

The advertised time is 6.30pm but many participants arrive earlier or a little later. We aim to select the Staff Choice vehicle around 7.00pm with award presented by 7.45pm.

BURGERSNCARS KAPITI
30 JUNE 2024 MIDDAY MID WINTER EVENT

After having to postpone to the 1st rain date the event was a success for all, with 130+ vehicles attending.
The weather was partly cloudy, winter cool with a gentle breeze.

The new ownership and crew at BURGER FUEL KAPITI were cranking out the food promptly and provided vouchers for complimentary goodies.

Josh Trybula was awarded Staff Choice in his very cool '59 Buick Invicta and received goodies from Burger Fuel Kapiti, Digga WorX and CHEMZ. Please support these companies who contribute to our event. There is a feature article on Josh's car in the latest NZ Rodder #193.

Coverage of the event along with photos will be in the July NZ Petrolhead magazine due out mid month.
