The most frequent excuses I hear from people who want to learn sh***ri..

“I don’t know how to get started”
My intro and intermediate level classes are perfect for those who prefer to learn in person and who benefit from attending in person sessions where the instructor is present and available to answer any questions.

“I don’t have a partner to practice with”
Truth is sometimes when we want to do something or learn something new with another person, we must first learn on our own. The benefits are endless to why starting off tying solo will lead you to learn sh***ri faster and become more comfortable and connected with the art form in a balanced way. Learning how to tie and how to be tied are each their own sectors of what makes up the sh***ri experience. I started off my journey with a partner but after we separated I started to explore sh***ri on my own terms!

Next class is Wednesday the 21st! By signing up for the introduction class you will be able to take a piece of 30ft cotton rope to practice at home. 🪢

Starting the first week of August I will be leading a 4-6 week sh***ri course. This will be a set of in person classes at Natural Rythm in Madison CT (address located at bottom). We will be covering new material for each class so the more you attend the more value you will receive! You must attend one intro class to be able to participate in the intermediate level classes. To make things easy I will be providing you with rope that is included in the intro class price. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me!

Update!
Well I guess it’s not much of an update besides telling y’all that I have no idea what I’m doing! 😅 I’m trying my hardest to make the transition to start hosting more events after I recently moved, but I’m struggling to figure it all out! But I miss you guys so much. I miss creating spaces of self exploration and play. I miss seeing all of your smiles and bodies moving on the dance floor. I miss the ups and the downs, the hours of hard work for a night of community. I hope we can see each other soon because my heart is calling for it. It’s been difficult to say the least. 💔

How can we pull inspiration and motivation even in the darkest of times? How can we pour into our own cup to help us keep grounded through all the holiday traveling, shopping and get togethers?

Join me at Heritage Beach in for a one hour guided meditation combined with sound healing elements. Event is free and for all ages! No experience needed! See you there!

FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PRACTICE BALANCE WITHIN THEMSELVES WHILE ALSO BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR/SMALL BUSINESS OWNER

How I practice balance between my feminine and masculine sides by creating my soft girl morning routine for when I don’t have work. Sometimes I can feel exhausted from the hustle and grind during the week. It can make it harder for my body to reset over the weekend to prepare for the week ahead. I have a tendency to get up first thing in the morning and think about all of the different things I have to get done that day, which can be very overwhelming especially when you have very little time off.

~spend 10-20 minutes in bed after waking up (practice gratitude, meditation or breath work)
*I do not check my phone until after lunch*
~spend another 10-20 minutes in bed petting and cuddling my cat
~slowly start to get up and stretching where I need to, playing relaxing music to set the mood, lighting a candle or incense
~make herbal tea with no caffeine, favorites include chamomile, mint, mugwort
~I usually skip breakfast on these days to let my body detox from all of the food and caffeine consumed over the week
~after tea is made I set up a movement/journaling space on the floor, preferably outside in the sun
~spend the rest of the morning stretching and tending to any of my emotional needs that have been put aside during a long hard week of work and being an entrepreneur
~make some nourishing lunch with lots of greens and healthy fats & more tea!

Of course we all have our own preferences of how to express our feminine sides so take this as a loose guide or inspiration to allow yourself that time off in the morning.

After Alison’s guided yoga session, Ryan will be leading us through a mugwort ceremony, teaching us more about this lovely herb. Then he will perform a live binaural beats meditation that will flow directly into the ecstatic dance; 90 full minutes of Cosmal!

FACILITATOR SPOTLIGHT 🧘🏽
Alison Lazarus is a seasoned Yoga teacher based in the Hudson Valley, NY. After receiving her certification in 2015 at Shakti Yoga in Woodstock, NY, she began teaching and has worked at a number of different studios throughout her home area. After several years, she began teaching privates, as well as larger group classes at festivals and local community centers to bring her practice to a larger audience. Yoga means to "yolk" the mind and body, and is an art as well as a lifestyle that goes much beyond bodily postures. Alison aims to honor the intention and spirit of yoga and leads her classes with a gentle grace, a soothing voice, and clear concise instruction. WORKSHOP HOST SPOTLIGHT 🦋✨
Thai Tao (aka Kosmik Butterfly) is a movement enthusiast. Starting at the age of four she has had a deep love for movement and dance. Over the years she has dived into martial arts, yoga, fire dance/flow arts, pole, lyra and gymnastics. All of that coming together today to make one hell of a dynamic performer. Thai will be leading a multi level dragon staff workshop this weekend! 🐉

Come with me as I give you a little tour of the event space for Saturday! 🌼🌊
The beach is located in the same park, we will try to set up as close as we can to the beach so we can enjoy it (all depending on how many other people will be there on Saturday since this is a public space.)
Make sure to bring water (reusable water bottle), a towel and swimsuit, sunscreen, flow toys, snacks, beach chair.

She specializes in Fire, LED, Stilts, Roller skates, and Character Acting. At an early age she fell in love with performing and never stopped. Getting ready for a very special event this weekend! I know I say that a lot, but I really do like to spice up each event so things don’t get stale!

This will be our first event on the beach! This will also be our first event with TWO stages including a silent disco! This will also be the first time we will have multiple flow workshops happening as well as our sh***ri workshop! The schedule will be released in the next few days with the workshop & set times.

Join us tonight at 8pm at where we will be combining meditation and double flow props! & I will be walking everyone through some different techniques to becoming more comfortable with two handed props! This includes double hoop, poi, buugeng, double staves, & 8 rings! After the class we will be opening up the space for free flow. I will be throwing down some tunes to spin to! Make sure you bring your prop and water!
